I was finally able to successfully migrate Lessons in Love to the most recent model of RenPy (8.2.3)
This should hopefully resolve the memory errors some players have been receiving in-game. It should also make the game run smoother in a number of ways by cutting down on stuttering after making selections and helping animations run a little bit smoother. Load times when booting up the game may still take a little while due to the sheer size of Lessons in Love, but they should also be shorter overall now.
IMPORTANT NOTES:

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Your save files WILL still work. However, you may be prompted when loading them with a warning that the version number has changed. This is okay. You should be able to accept without issue, but you may still choose to make a backup of your saves beforehand if you like.
- While your save file WILL still work, it is important to note that it will STOP working on older versions of the game once you overwrite it with data from 0.42.0. If you would like to preserve save files that will still work on outdated versions of the game (All releases prior to 0.42.0) you may also choose to back up your saves.
- The RenPy upgrade will NOT be applied via the 0.42.0 Update Patch. You must download the full game in order for these changes to take effect. HOWEVER: Players who have already upgraded their RenPy framework manually may still use the update patch. If you DO NOT want to download the full game again and are looking for a smoother experience, you may follow the tutorial posted in the tech-support channel on Discord that will instruct you on how to manually upgrade RenPy.
FOR ANYONE WITH CARE PACKAGE CONTENT:
If you do not have the original downloads saved and backed up already, I would manually back up the following and then reapply them once the new download is complete.
- Every single DATE-TITLED folder located under LessonsInLove(VersionNumberHere)/game/scripts/
- The folder titled "gui" located under LessonsInLove(VersionNumberHere)/game/
- The folder titled "images" located under LessonsInLove(VersionNumberHere)/game/
Once those have been backed up, they can be dropped into their corresponding locations in the NEW game's directory, but when you are prompted about whether you want to replace any existing files, YOU WILL SAY NO.
The goal is to re-insert all of the care package content without replacing any of the new files. And I BELIEVE that should be enough to carry over all of the bonus content. But having all of the care packages already backed up and saved will likely be easier.
Realistically though, at that point, it's probably easier to just manually upgrade RenPy.
