THR Aki CH8 Release Date
Release Window is June 17/18. Free version 1 week later.
The bugtest went well. For the most part it was bug free but I got some feedback that I agreed with that required me to make a little more art and rerender a couple things. So that took a few extra days. I think the end result is much better. I may do more early bug tests for the Hero+ tiers in the future.
Planned CH8 Changelog
- 22 New Maps
- 6 unique maps that have 3 variations each
- ~150 images
- ~50 Standing pics for characters
- ~100 CGs
- ~45 animations
- ~13 new scenes of varying length
- Added several single image events around the resort showing things happening.
- Fixed some minor bugs in old maps that I found while making CH8
This one will be lighter story wise but there will be a lot to explore and find. All the numbers are estimates because I have like 2 more animations that I want to make and a few more images. Nothing crazy.
Two side notes: I may skip next Monday’s update because between now and then there probably won’t be anything new to say. If my friend has the extra time, there may be an apk version available a couple days after the release.

Weekly Update July 28th 2025
Well I take my week off and it’s bad news all over the place. If you follow me you almost certainly have heard about the Mastercard/Visa/Paypal situation and it’s effect on steam and ich. Thankfully for me as of writing this I am uneffected, but that could change over the coming weeks depending on what sites they target next.
What does this mean for Seez content?

Short Term:
As of writing this, nothing changes. My plan is to finish CH9 of Aki and then make the tech demo of Luna. Since Aki doesn’t really have spicy themes I don’t think I will need to make changes to it should Patreon or SubStar get targeted next.
I will be opening a Boosty and Pixiv page soon. This will give back up options to support me should I lose my patreon page.
Long Term:
Because things are changing so suddenly and quickly all of this may not be relevant, but this is what I'm thinking given the situation.
I am planning on dipping my toes into a couple spicier tags. These tags are content that is currently not allowed on patreon. My plan was always to have a Patreon version that fully abides by their rules and a SubStar version with the extra content. Depending on what sites get hit next, I may only do the one “safe” version.
The real problem is if Patreon’s Guidelines get even more strict I may have to just end Aki early and remove it from the platform. This is not what I want at all, but it would be out of my hands at that point. I would still finish the main story but the epilogue content may just not happen. Because THR: Aki was my project to learn RPGmaker, it is terribly coded/organized. So going back and changing old content to fit the new guidelines is far too much work for it to be worth it.
The take away:
Now it is more important than ever to follow me on the other platforms. I don’t tweet much but twitter and discord are going to be the backup ways of finding me should my page suddenly disappear.

Weekly Update July 14th 2025
I got distracted working on Luna last week... I got so much done that I think I’m going to release the first test build between THR: Aki CH9 and Ch10 releases. There won’t be any story in that build, but there will be a simplified version of the town scenes system. There are a few other games that have done a similar system but I want to do my own spin on it.
I’m not sure if I’m going to make those builds public at all. It’s not that I’m trying to get money from you all or anything like that. It’s more that I don’t want what is a grossly simplified demo to get posted on different websites and get a bunch of negative reviews hurting the traction of the game before it even gets its first release. But I’ll decide that later.
That being said, I'm still on pace with Aki CH9. I expected that I would get distracted at some point so I just built it into the plan. I got a ton done over the weekend for Aki but none of it is stuff that is ready to be shown off.
I’ll be making a supporter preview post shortly with one teaser from Aki and a few mockups that I made for the intro to Luna. In the meantime enjoy some silly pics I made and a couple animations that I didn’t make but were fun to make adjustments to and add my characters to.
