Weekly Update Sept 8th 2025
Alright with THR: Aki CH9 out it’s time to actually start talking about HR: Luna in these weekly posts. But first let’s go over what the plan is for THR: Aki going forward.
For the foreseeable future the plan is to continue adding scenes to Aki. There are about 6 main story scenes that need to happen and a few minor story scenes. Each update from now on is going to have 2 scenes in it 1 Story scene and 1 voted scene. This will allow me the flexibility to work on both projects at the same time and not burn myself out.
Once all the story scenes are in I’ll reassess what the Aki updates will entail. The goal is to have the “end game” of THR Aki be an open map where you can explore and engage with different repeatable sex scenes. This means that pretty much anything goes. If there is a scene idea that you want you can send it to me via Discord in the #scene-suggestions channel. I’ll be posting the first vote details some time tomorrow.
With that said, it’s time that I start pivoting into working on HR: Luna as my main focus. I’ve been stopping myself from seriously working on the next game because I knew if I did I would probably never finish THR: Aki. My goal is to never do that to my audience. I’ll cut content if I have to, but I will always make sure it gets to a decent state for you guys.
Over the next 8ish weeks I’ll be working on HR: Luna with the goal of getting a playtestable version of the town gameplay loop made. The combat and story will not be in this playtest. The playtest will be a massively sped up version of what will take place over the full story. It’s there to demonstrate what that gameplay loop will look like. Briar’s town portion will not be in this test.
What scenes will be in this playtest:
3 Luna jobs: Bartending, Item Shop and Cafe
2 Aster Jobs: Church work and Blacksmith
Each will have 3 variations depending on Inhibition stats for both characters
Each will have a POV from the other characters.
If I have time I’ll add random scenes around the town as well.
For future builds the other three planned bits of gameplay are love events, combat/quests and collectables. (Not in this playtest ).There are 2 main stats: Love and Inhibition. Depending on the value of each stat, different scenes will be available. My goal with the combat is to keep it simple for this game and have it set up in such a way that you can do as little as 20 battles to complete the story. The collectables will be gathered from both in town and the outdoor maps/dungeons. Right now there are 2 collectables planned, polaroids and magazines.
The polaroids will be different pictures of cast members in compromising positions. Think those instagram images with the single text line over them. The Magazines will be a single picture with a small article attached to it. These will either be talking about other lore characters or telling a small side story.
For now though, I gotta get back to making maps. It’s a time consuming process and I still need to make like 15 more. Attached I have some fun images and some early WIP versions of a couple maps.
