Prologue - Birth Of The Dark One


Hueco Mundo was once, a land without purpose.

A place for the darkest elements of human nature, unworthy of the afterlife. Regrets and desires left behind by the dead.

But all of that was no more. Aizen Sosuke, driven by these darkest desires, united this land... and gave it purpose. A purpose to fight, to conquer, to avenge, to dominate and crush your enemies, to become the sole ruler of all life.

His ambitions failed. And yet, the drives behind his actions are eternal, they can't be defeated or locked away... now they're stronger than ever before. And without anyone to embody and control this darkness, it will inevitably find a way to existence. It had to...

And so, in the shadows of Hueco Mundo a dark existence started to take form, in the shape of a human. A figure made of darkness. Slowly condensing into matter, flesh and bone. And then... he was born.

A pale-skinned man, naked, surrounded by dark energy that his body did not absorb yet. The darkness gathered around him, taking the shape of a black, thorn cloth covering his body. What remained of the darkness gathered around his head to form the shape of a black skull.

He possessed no memories, no identity, not even a name. But he did feel something, something greater than him, a desire. A strong will, guiding him to a path of conquest and domination.

And so, he set forth in this land of darkness.



Ch. 1 - First Encounter


"Wait... Can't you slow down a bit?"

"..."

In this neverending darkness, two figures appeared. Walking forward in a hurry.

"Where are we going anyway? Did you come up with a plan?" - Asked the figure from the back. 

She was a girl with short blonde hair, slicked back, except for a few strands slightly covering the right side of her face. She had the appearance of a human, except for the right side of her face, where she had a small fragment of a mask where her right eye would have been.

The other in the front replied - "We don't need any." - And continued to march ahead at a pace that was hard to keep up with. She wore her black hair in a twintail and had a skull fragment, similar to her companion's, where her left eye would have been.

"Come on! If you have no clue anyway, then why the hell can't you slow down a bit?"

"..." - The other girl simply ignored her.

"Sometimes you make me wonder, why I keep following you in the first place."

"..." - The one in the front suddenly stopped. - "THEN, WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU SUGGEST WE DO THEN!?" - She shouted angrily. - "He's still alive! I know it! We can't just sit here and do nothing, we have to find him."

The one in the back was a bit surprised, she didn't expect her to suddenly lash out at her after ignoring her for soo long. She barely replied to anything until now. - "!?" - Suddenly, she felt a surge of energy vibrating the air around her. - "Did you feel that?"

"Yeah, another one, I'm already sick of these brainless wild beasts."

"...Please. Tell me you're not gonna blow up the whole place again."

Her reply was a clearly annoyed face - "Fine."

From the distance, the two girls could see something emerge, but it was still far away. The one in the front started walking towards the entity in the distance.

"Loly! Wait!" - Said the other one from behind. - "Something's weird, it's too far. We shouldn't have felt anything from that distance. This one could be dangerous. Hey! Loly! Are you even listening!?"

The one in the front just kept going. - "Don't be a coward! There are no arrancars roaming around here, they're all staying around Harribel's place. The only ones out there are some wild Adjuchas at most."

"...I guess you're right. Still, be careful."

"Yeah. Yeah. Got it already!"

As they continued forward the figure got closer and closer.

"Wait, Loly! This one seems too human. I have a bad feeling. What if it's a Vasto Lorde?"

"Then maybe I'll need a few extra seconds to crush it. I might even need to use a simple Cero. Oh, I'm so scared already! Oh, no!" - She said in a mocking tone, making fun of her companion's constant worrying. 

"..." - The other one stopped. - "You know what? Go on and have it your way, I don't care anymore."

The ominous figure was already close enough for them to take a closer look. It had a human-like figure, with a black skull-shaped mask, wearing a black piece of cloth.

The girl in the back was quick to state her correctness. - "Told you, this one's clearly a Vasto Lorde."

"Awww! Fuck you! Who cares?" - She then started shouting at the creature in front of her. - "Hey! You! Get the fuck out of my way, or I'll fuckin' blast you away!"

The figure simply kept walking forward.

"Fuck, this one can't even speak! Whatever, you asked for this, asshole!"

The twin-tailed girl raised her right hand, pointing toward the unknown entity. The air around her hand started to vibrate rapidly, as the energy in her body gathered in her palm, to condense into an unstable ball emitting vivid crimson light.

"Cero!"

In an instant the energy shot out of her hand, rapidly colliding with her target. The following shockwave stirred up the sand of the ground, causing the surrounding area to be covered up by the blown-up sand flying in the air.

"Hah! Serves you right for annoying me, idiot." - She turned around and looked at her companion, prepared for the sweet pleasure of rubbing it all in her face. - "Oh gosh! Can you believe that? I think he took me like 10 seconds to incinerate! I guess you were right, we should just avoid running into these 'dangerous' creatures!"

"..."

"Tsk. Least you could do is admit I was right." - She was ignored, her companion just kept staring at the blown-up sand slowly flying down from the air. But, then her her face slowly went from emotionless to shocked. Her eyes widened and she slightly opened her mouth.

"Finally! Took you long enough to react. Come on! Just admit you were..."

"...Loly...it's still alive..." - She said. - "...It's almost like... it didn't even feel that."

"Hah?" - She turned around to look at it herself, and there he was, in the middle of the huge hole, caused by the explosion, looking at his hands.

"Yeah, he can stand a cero. Whatever, I'll just go and take him out for good. You can wait here if you're scared." - She immediately launched forward, unsheathing her dagger at the same time, while running toward her enemy.

"Wait! Loly! There's something wrong with him! Loly!?" - She wanted to stop her, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. She felt paralyzed. Something in her instinctively knew to stay away from that man. So she just stood there silently, hoping that her companion was right. Hoping that the fear coming from inside her is just her overreacting.

Meanwhile, the other girl was running full speed ahead towards her target. Once she was close enough, she extended her arms holding her dagger in front of herself.

"Poison, ESCOLOPENDRA!"
