Hero Studies: Training up to Par(Complete)
PART1 PART2
This particular story center's around a young hero in training, Violette. Shy and closed off, she does her best to socialize in her new school but finds it very difficult to express herself enough to make new friends. Doing everything from joining clubs that she dropped as soon as she joined, to wearing the newest trends even if it makes her extremely uncomfortable. Despite her best efforts, she just can't open up enough to make friends.
Being the daughter to two of Metropoliville's most well known and outgoing supers she feels like she has failed to meet her parents extremally large shadows.
She never thought she would be good enough to get accepted into such a prestigious school. She failed miserably on her entrance exam, she didn't know half of the questions that were asked and did even worse on the physical training practical.
"I pulled some strings, but you passed" Lukas told her earlier in the summer. "Now, every student, based on their exam results and personality test gets assigned a Hero Mentor, someone who they can learn from in hopes to be the best they can be."
"Really?" Violette asked, while her parents celebrated behind her. "I got in? I didn't think I'd pass."
"Nonesense!" Her father, The Impregnable Fortressed thundered behind her. "You're my daughter, of course you'd pass!"
"I had no doubt in my mind that you'd make it, sweetie." Her mother said, kissing her on the forehead. Still in uniform, her mother "Madam Malleable" is this cities greatest female super, an icon to little girls everywhere.
"Not only will you show the school what it means to be a super." Her mother spoke while picking up her younger brother, "You'll be the best example to your little brother. He looks up to you, you know? and pretty soon he'll follow in your footsteps."
Dart. Her younger brother. while he's still a child he developed his powers early, unlike her who only developed her powers last year.
"Greaaat..." Violetta muttered to herself before turning her attention back to Lukas, "So who was I assigned to. Who's my mentor?"
"That's the best part." Lukas leaned in and whispered in her ear before pulling back with a wink of his eye. Violette's parents were too busy dealing with Dart who was speeding around all over the place to notice this sensual interaction between the two of them.
"When we finalized the list of students who got accepted, I made some changes to my schedule. Now being the principal I'm not able to mentor any students seeing as my attention is needed everywhere all at once."
Violette listened with anticipation, her heart still pounding from feeling his warm breath on her ear.
"But, this year I'll have the schedule to take on only 1 apprentice and that apprentice is you."
That conversation was over 3 months ago now and It's been almost 2 weeks since Violette started her studies at her new academy and she has never felt more isolated. Her only saving grace was her daily mentor meetings with Principal Black.
Known as one of Metropoliville's greatest Heroes, Lukas Black, aka "Sector Freeze" is a retired Super and best friend to Violette's father. Violette is happy knowing she now gets to personally study under the great Sector Freeze, in fact it was his recommendation and oversight that got her into this prestigious school.
Violette was luckly, most students only ever get 1 meeting a week with their Hero Mentor since each teacher has to mentor multiple students at the same time. She is very grateful that the one man in her life she can rely on chose to become her personal mentor.
Today was like any other day, nothing has changed. Violette makes her way to Principal Black office for her daily Mentor Meeting.
"Why did I even agree to attend this stupid school?" Violette whispered to herself before entering the office of Principal Black immediately knowing the reason was sitting right in front of her.
