Progress Update - April 3, 2022
I continue to make strong progress on wrapping up the next version (0.60) of Shoot the Girls. All of the various components are coming together nicely, including the transition screens. The old "Apocalypse" levels have been re-integrated too, so the update will feature 3 regions and 14 levels -- with more to come as game development continues.
One more fun element is a world map (below) that will follow the player's progress from one hot spot to another (sort of like an Indiana Jones movie).

Will we be able to keep a running tally on all the chicks that we've killed?
Yes - the game (already) tracks both total kills and points earned.
I was going to ask the same question! It would also be cool to be able to keep a separate count of killed combatants vs non-combatants
Ha - I'm reminded of a line attributed to General Curtis LeMay, that "There are no innocent civilians." The levels so far feature numerous unarmed women, but all are "combatants" in the sense that they are part of the enemy force. Future regions will include true non-combatants... women who are not part of the enemy force that just happened to get caught in the cross-fire and (regrettably) shot and killed. A couple of ideas (for which I have models) are a shopping mall and a high school.
