Laura and Water 3: Finished and Illustrated!
It only took me a week to get this finished and narrated, -.- frustrating.
I was working on a lot of other stuff thats looking great, but i didnt want to show side projects until this TOI was finished properly. I have quite a lot of fun things buffered, including the set I've built ready for April's TOI - but i'll wait a day or two to preview that - dont want this post to get buried immediately.
I've intentionally left Laura at the point where something has to give - that's because I'm planning multiple endings for the prologue, Yes, you'll get to decide laura's fate. I have 3 on the draft board, but I'm open to suggestions and i'll be doing all of them. This is an experiment to see how much extra time a multiple choice story needs, probably a lot more than I can handle, but we'll see if I can keep them short and sweet (for once)..
Meanwhile I spent a few days in the workshop developing some shapes and bellies of truly tremendous, epic/silly proportions which don't break the 3d model, good news for extreme proportions fans (you can see an example in the bonus preview of the TOI). Also worked a lot of HD quality texture presets for making characters, and some fine detail work - the ability to do ultra HD renders means I have to step it up and make sure you can see the skin pores in those frames.

Honestly, option 1 and 2 both sounds interesting and great! option 1 seems to be winning by far though so i'll vote for 2! not much of a popping fan myself, that'd imply that the character dies which would make it awkward seeing the same character again later knowing he/she died earlier...just my opinion on that. I'm sure whatever it turns out to be, it will be amazing and glorious <3
We need more popping fans here!! :) I would pay good money to see that ending!! Any way you finish it, it will be incredible, but popping definitely has my vote!!
I just want to make a comment that you do exceptionally nice work, particularly with these stories, or tales as you call them. Nice to see the rare combination of good rendering art and writing out there, happy to provide some support to another internet figure. And as far as endings I'd say go with whatever you like, personally I've written a number of crazy scenarios and always found a way to bring it back down to a sense of normal, one way or another. Looking through your work I see no reason to doubt it will be enjoyable. ;)
I've always had mixed thoughts on popping. One aspect of popping that I like is that it is a nice ending, there is a buildup in inflation fetishism that I think should have an ending. Some artists choose to make the popping section to be the death of someone, which is the one aspect I dislike with popping. I like popping when it has some sort of cartoonish ending when the individual popps but survives. It is unreal, but eventually, (almost) everything with the inflation community is fantasy and, as I mentioned, popping is a nice ending to some stories.
I really want to see this into a nice story
