Sneak Peek: Brothel Management & the Menagerie 👀

Well guys, this is one of the reasons 0.8.3 has kept me so busy! 😅 What started as a new use for a neglected motel has turned into a whole management loop… and I keep finding things I want to polish or add.
Introducing the Last Motel and the Menagerie!
Your motel, your problems 😏

Once restored, the motel opens up a business you can run yourself. You’ll manage workers, rooms, bookings, supplies, money, and reputation. Sounds simple enough, right?

Until someone refuses an assignment, a client causes trouble, the next room still needs cleaning, and you realize you’re running low on protection. Suddenly, collecting the money is the easy part. 😂

You can assign workers to reception, cleaning, or adult services, organize shifts, and deal with whatever happens during the day. Workers may need recovery time or medical care, and your decisions can affect income, reviews, and how much unwanted attention the place attracts.
As the money comes in, you can reinvest it into more rooms, better security, staff facilities, privacy measures, or outside cleaning services. These improvements change how you run the place, giving you more options as the business grows.

And yes, there’s an automatic assignment system! You can set things up and let your workers run the motel while you focus on classes, relationships, investigations, or whatever else your character has going on.
I wanted this loop to fit into the main game, and things happening at the motel can follow you back to campus. I won’t spoil the events, but… shit can happen, and your reputation might feel it. 👀

Meet the Menagerie

The Menagerie is a new app available on both your phone and laptop, bringing Pet management into one place.
With a valid licence and enough money, you can buy an indebted student’s debt and take ownership of their contract. From there, you can review their condition, assign jobs, collect results, arrange care, or give them time to recover.

You can send them to work at the motel or choose other available jobs. You can also put a Pet back on the market, while an archive keeps track of former Pets and previous outcomes.

Of course, each Pet comes with their own situation. Their health, fatigue, boundaries, resentment, obedience, and how you treat them all influence what they’ll accept and what happens afterward.
Pushing everyone constantly might look profitable at first… until you’re dealing with refusals, incidents, or workers leaving. There’s quite a bit to balance here. 😅

Someone is watching your management choices…

The Pet Welfare system follows what happens across both the Menagerie and the motel.

Respecting refusals, keeping protection available, approving recovery requests, and giving people a break between difficult assignments helps keep your operation in good standing.

Repeated neglect can lead to warnings, fines, and more serious consequences. So yes, you have a business to run, but you also have people to look after.

And these mechanics also apply when your character is the one wearing the collar. Her independence, opportunities, relationships, and options for clearing her debt become part of that experience too.
There’s a lot packed into this system, and I’m still polishing how everything feels to play. I’ve already spent way too much time testing the motel because I keep wanting to play one more day. 😂

Hopefully you guys will have just as much fun with it! Coming in 0.8.3. 💜
