Log inChapter 9 Status Update
Hey everyone!
Sorry I've been quiet lately, but I've been engrossed in my work and making some decent progress.
Art: 80%
Writing: 70%
Buuut there's been some kinks as well (and not the good kind!), so I'm delaying Chapter 9 by at least a week, and estimating the new release date will be October 7th.
I really, really wanted to get something out to you guys in September, but with Kai's scene still incomplete I feel like there wouldn't be enough meat on the bone to justify a release.
The delay comes from a predictable source -- me! -- because I got ambitious and tried to sneak in some surprise animations into the release. Alas, no matter how easy they make animation look in the tutorials, it's a lot more difficult than I anticipated and they didn't look at all how I dreamed them. I've since had to almost completely redraw two of my scenes, which really took the wind out of my sails.
Thankfully I'm back on track now. My lesson learned is to keep animations to my side projects and stop screwing with the FWtW release schedule to try and shoehorn them in here lol.
The good news is there are some genuinely lovely moments between Cass and MC that I'm super proud of, I just wish I was further along.
