Devlog: Plant Girl Progress, Visual Tweaks & Tech Upgrades! 🌱

Hello Everyone, Croxy Here!
It’s time for another development update. I’ve been working hard on several different fronts, and I have some exciting news regarding the upcoming patch:
  • Riley & The Plant Girl: The vast majority of the Plant Girl questline is officially finished! However, I decided to add an extra segment to the very end of it. This new addition will set the stage for the quest to branch out into entirely different paths in future updates.
  • Visuals & UI: The global visual upgrade is complete! I listened closely to the feedback from the recent poll. Since some of you preferred the softer original look, I carefully fine-tuned the color adjustments. The new visuals are richer and more vibrant, but not overly blown out—striking a perfect middle ground. Alongside this, the new menu and UI overhauls are mostly done, with just a few tiny tweaks remaining before the whole game gets its fresh new look.
  • A Major Tech Change (Live2D): I am planning to transition away from using pre-rendered video files for scenes and will instead use the engine's native Live2D models. While this unfortunately means some specific animation sound effects won't be present, the trade-off is absolutely worth it. I am planning to add a lot of new monster girls in the future. If I kept using video files, the game's file size would quickly balloon to unmanageable levels. Taking this step early ensures the game runs smoother and takes up significantly less space on your drives.
  • Bug Fixes: While implementing these new systems, I am also squashing various minor visual bugs and glitches that you guys have pointed out recently.
I am putting all my energy into wrapping these final pieces up, and I am aiming to have this update ready for you by next week!
Thank you all for your continuous support and patience!
