Pony Tales — Formal GalaPony Tales — Formal Gala. The full cast steps into a grand evening of gold, starlight, elemental color, and formal fantasy attire.
After getting the main Pony Tales cast into a look I was happy with, I wanted to start exploring some alternate outfits for them too.
This time, the whole cast is getting dressed up.
The Formal Gala set gives each character a more elaborate look built around the same themes that already define them: Aurelia in white and gold, Cindra in ember reds, Rimea in icy blues, Sylva wrapped in forest greens, Noctra in moonlit violet, and the rest of the cast carrying their own colors and motifs into something a little more elegant.
Kaelis gets a formal look of his own as well, although putting him in a normal tux never really felt right. His version leans more toward black-and-gold guardian regalia, keeping him visually connected to the rest of the group without losing what makes him Kaelis.
I like how different the cast feels in this set. They're still immediately recognizable, but the change in clothing gives the whole group a more ceremonial, fantasy-gala atmosphere than their usual adventuring looks.
These aren't tied to one specific story scene. For now, they're another look at what the Pony Tales cast might wear when the occasion calls for something considerably more formal.
And with all twelve finished, I'm increasingly tempted to see what they look like together in one proper group portrait.
