The Purr from Above

After walking aimlessly through the dense jungle for days, hope was starting to fade. Your legs ached, your water was nearly gone, and every path looked the same.
Then you heard it—a soft, low purr drifting down from the canopy.
You looked up.
There she was, stretched out on a thick branch high above, dark skin glowing in the filtered sunlight, cat ears twitching as her long tail swayed lazily. Tribal wraps and fur accented her form as she rested on her stomach, chin propped on one hand. Red eyes locked onto yours with a curious, mischievous glint, a small smile revealing the tip of a fang.
She didn’t speak. She just watched… and purred a little louder, as if inviting you closer.
