A very special girl~ Our Kererū!
A very big, very clumsy, very shameless icon of the New Zealand bush. She eats and eats, and then crashes through the trees to eat some more. She's the only girl big enough to eat the seeds of many New Zealand trees, so she's a vital for dispersing those seeds and keeping our forests big and diverse.
However... she's most famous for her antics on hot autumn afternoons, eating overripe fermenting berries, then getting so stupidly drunk that she falls right out of her tree.
