July | Blog (Commission Price Increase Reminder)

As mentioned previously, commission prices will rise in general by 1000 JPY (~$6.30 USD) and panels by 500 JPY (~$3.15) in September, though extra frame discounts will still go down to 3000 like before (5000 -> 4500 -> 4000 -> 3500 -> 3000 -> 3000 -> etc.). The paid request form will continue to stay the same price for a while. I probably won't raise the commission price again next year; I think this is fine enough.

If I gave you a price for a specific commission already, the price for that commission will remain the same even if it goes past September before payment.

I will continue to run the subscriber request box next month and beyond, so I'll have to adjust the pinned comment welcome posts later. As mentioned in another post, the strawpage box would silently destroy posts that contain most kinds of links, so if you sent something in before it was probably never actually received. It was moved to google forms, so you can resend it there if you want.

Health:

Something different happened for once, so this section is temporarily back. They've come out with an injection pen for my infusion medication and my doctor suggested it, so we're going to try that (infusions are a pain in the ass), assuming my insurance doesn't screw me over as they do.

Dad's Health:

I stopped doing this section for a while, especially because the doctors kept saying different things over time and I didn't want to keep repeating wrong information until they settled on things, but now it's coherent. Anyway, originally they thought he had kidney cancer, but that turned out to be incorrect. He does, however, have prostate cancer, and has started undergoing treatment for it. He's doing fine. His brother also was diagnosed with it, and going from my own health problems that seem to run in the family, I'll probably have to pay attention to that more as the years go on.

Other:

I upgraded my graphics card (4GB to 16GB), but at around the same time it was shipping, one of my HDDs started to fail with great timing, and so that's why the paid request form is still active. The drive is still technically usable, but it's showing the early signs of failing, so it's unwise for me to use it for saving to at the moment. This was the drive I bought years ago but was too lazy to install until about last year, or before last year (I can't remember). The other drive is still going strong.

I also played a large amount of Palworld. I would have hoped the new graphics card would make it run better, but I think it's mainly a CPU problem with that game due to how it handles loading. Despite the stutters when most things load, it was still enjoyable like before. The World Tree zone felt rather half baked, with the main gimmick of the zone for gathering resources becoming invalidated in approximately 5-10 minutes after making the recycle machine. The changes to pal breeding and the surgery table with disposable implants makes the whole process significantly less headache inducing, though they indirectly nerfed Yakumo as a result with some of the new passives, so he's become somewhat useless unless you never get implants (that are transferable).

I want to give several of the new pals breasts (and maybe one with a penis), but due to the current environment, it's not wise. I might do it anyway in secret. If I'm feeling brave, I'll post it somewhere.
