A quintessential lesbian vampire film; "Lesbian Vampire Killers" lives up to its name.
A 2009 British horror-comedy, the film follows the misadventure of two dudes you don't care about getting caught up in the machinations of a vampire called Eva. Many years ago, Eva fell in love with the infamous Carmilla, of Sheridan Le Fanu fame, and was turned into one of her undead brides. When Carmilla is slain, Eve spends the next couple of years trying to resurrect her.
We wouldn't be talking about a raunchy comedy starring James Corden of all people if it wasn't for the REAL reason why you should watch this. This film definitely has lesbians, vampires, and lesbian vampires in-spades, but top billing goes to Vera Filatova as Eve, and Silvia Colloca as Carmilla.
The only way this film could be any better is if it starred an all female cast, as proven by Eva's chase scene near the end of the film. Sadly, it seems the only time a mainstream vampire film stars a woman as the protagonist is when said film is either an overly-edgy action film, or a romantic drama.
Here's hoping someday we get a lesbian vampire horror film with more lesbians, more vampires, more horror, and more fun.
