Update July 1
Hey guys, I made it through my first day at the new company just fine. So far, it looks pretty “relaxed” overall, based on what I’ve seen and what my coworkers have told me. Working from home isn’t an option just yet, but it’s supposed to be available up to three times a week later on.
Anyway, I’m ready to get back to working on RoF!
- First, I’m going to implement tons of new code that I wrote during all that time in the hotels. Pretty much everything has been greatly improved and is finally finished. For you guys, the only change will be visual; for me, everything is now easier to expand and maintain.
- As for the text, I’ve also “improved” the writing, but I’m still undecided on whether to just replace everything or how I want to handle it.
- As for the story so far, I’m adding a choice where Jessy decides whether or not to kiss Alex in her room, along with 1 or 2 renders and minor adjustments for the “no kiss” option.
- After that, I’ll move right on to Jessy and Nina in Nina's apartment...
As soon as I’m done with that, there’ll be a first small playable update for you.
I’ll check in again in the next few days. And as always, take care, everyone.

Edit July 7:
I'm already back at work on Rise or Fall. I've added the new code. The dialogues have also been “tweaked.” And the “Don't kiss Alex” option has been added.
Later, after work, I’ll check where I left off with the rendering and pick up from there. If I had to guess, the release will be next week. But don’t hold me to that—I feel like I’m always off with my estimates. 😅
I’ll let you know by the middle of next week at the latest how things are looking in more detail.

Edit July 15:
I'm making progress, but slowly. Getting back into Daz Studio was/is pretty annoying.

Edit July 26:
It's taking longer than expected again. I’ve had less time, and the problems with DAZ really demotivated me. I also have to admit that I spent two days binge-playing Palworld. I needed a little “fun” on the computer, not just work.
But… I’m now fully back into DAZ Studio, and scene creation is complete for the next update, based on the latest version of the story.
Based on the other renders, rendering is projected to run through Thursday. But I’m being very cautious here again, because there are always outliers… I’m confident, though, that I’ll be able to release the next update this month, or very early next month at the latest.

Edit August 1:
Hey everyone, the final renders are currently running. As soon as they're done, I'll go through them all and do the usual final steps. Then it's on to the final tests. So the release of Rise or Fall V0.0.2.6 isn't far off. I'm guessing the update will go live on August 2 or 3.
