Past research - Lactation - Materlactis
Materlactis is a very common but invisible condition. In addition to the hormones that develop when a baby is born and cause a mother to lactate, materlactis will influence the mother's milk production: even a female with small breasts can feed her infant without harm. If you look at the nannies of ancient times, many of them were unknowing victims of materlactis, but it was harmless.
The disease is transmitted orally, but children and newborns are immune and not contagious.
With the menagerie, some specimens proved not to be very productive for lactation, despite the care given to their babies. I then developed this disease in an alchemical form that was easier to handle. It should be noted, however, that boiling the milk of an infected creature kills materlactis, as it does many other bacteria and viruses that cannot be pasteurised.
Mortals being what they are, it wasn't long before one of them came to collect a sample for the personal, adult pleasure of tasting mother's milk. After a few modifications, it was possible to make a benign, non-contagious and much less persistent version. This second version only lasts a short week, usually long enough for bedfellows to have some fun.
However, this lady got the wrong vial and took the version for mothers or mothers-to-be.
I dare to hope that this couple will be able to get used to their large breasts and milk production over the next 6 months.
If not, they will be the perfect addition to my menagerie.
