Dev Update #10 — SubscribeStar Version, Multiverse, Polls, Visual Rebranding, and What’s Coming Next 🌌

Hey everyone,
For this Dev Update, I want to give you a look at what I’m currently working on and what’s coming in the next updates. This one is especially important, because it includes several changes that I want everyone to know about. For that reason, this specific Dev Update will be available for everyone to read.
First, here’s a small preview of the first Multiverse scene, which will be available in the next update. This one will focus on Emma and Scott, and it is inspired by a comic storyline.
This scene will be available in-game through a new section called Multiverse. From now on, this tab will be used for special side content, and the plan is to add a new Multiverse scene with each update.
I also want to announce something new: there will be more Supporter polls going forward. 🗳️
You will help decide which new scenes get made next. For example, through polls, you might decide that you want a scene with Rogue and Gambit, Steve Rogers and Black Widow, Sue and Reed, or, if you’re feeling a little more chaotic, maybe Sue and Namor. The possibilities are endless, and the point is that you will have a real say in what comes next.
I still need to decide the exact voting weight system, but Overlord Supporters will have more voting power than Hero Supporters, and if someone is crazy enough to be in the Just Why tier, their vote will have even more weight.
The goal is simple: I want you to feel even more involved in the creative process and have a stronger influence on the extra content that gets added to the game.
I also want to show you a small preview of the next Overlord-exclusive image collection. This one will be a crossover that some of you requested a while ago. 👀
All exclusive collections, including this upcoming one, will also be added to the Multiverse tab inside the game. So the Multiverse section will include both special scenes and exclusive image collections.
Starting with the next update, there will be two versions of the game: a public version and a Supporters version. ⚠️
I want to make this very clear: the public version will continue exactly as it has until now. Nothing from the main game is being taken away. Public players will still receive the regular story updates, the main Peter storyline will not be locked, and all regular in-game scenes will still be available in the gallery as usual.
In other words, the core game will continue the same way it always has.
The only difference is that these new extra Multiverse scenes and exclusive image collections will remain exclusive to Overlord Supporters through the SubscribeStar version of the game.
I’m also planning a small visual rebranding for the game. 🎨 By now, you’re probably familiar with the current cover image I use whenever there is a new update, which is also the cover I use for SubscribeStar and other pages where the game is available. However, I’ve created some new covers, and I’m sharing them with you here because I’d love to hear your thoughts. The image used as the cover for this post will be the new main cover, while this one featuring MJ and Gwen will be used as the secondary image. I’ll make the change in a few days, but before that, I’d really like to read what you think.
Finally, I’m also working on another new section for the game. You can think of it as an About / Help button.
This section will include things like:
  • A FAQ.
  • A guide explaining how the game works.
  • A tutorial for each setting.
  • Explanations for the icons.
  • General information for players who feel lost or have questions.

The goal is to make the game easier to understand without forcing players to leave the game and search for answers elsewhere.
That’s it for this Dev Update. I’m really excited about these new systems because they open the door for more extra content, more player guidance, and more ways for Supporters to help shape what comes next.
