Angelica Origins – Test 01: What to Expect

Hello everyone,

I’m happy to finally share that Angelica Origins – Test 01 will be released on May 5.
This version will be available to anyone supporting the project with at least $1. For this first release, there will be no tier differences. Everyone who supports will get access at the same time.
I want to be very clear about what this version is.
This is a test build.
The goal is to show you what the game looks like now and, most importantly, to see how you react to it.
The story itself has not changed, but it has been improved and refined. This is not a remake. It’s a step toward building the definitive version of Angelica Origins.
You will find:
  • A mix of scenes from previous versions and new content
  • Improved details, writing, and presentation
  • Many character introduction scenes
  • Some more “spicy” moments, with animations and semi-animations

Chapter 2 content will be added in future updates.
These are scenes originally planned to start a “Chapter 2” in the old version. In the new structure, there will be no strict chapter separation. Instead, these scenes will be added gradually as the story progresses, blending naturally with the main narrative you already know.
This approach will also help clarify what really happened during the “summer” before the school year, when everything first began.
Not all of the old version is included in this test build.
You will find most of what used to be “Day 1”, but it has been reworked to feel more natural and is now spread across multiple days.
Also, this version of the game does not have a fixed day limit.
Even after completing the available missions, the game can still be played using the content you have unlocked.
Many scenes are no longer just part of a gallery.
Instead, they become unlockable events and, in some cases, repeatable daily activities.
I hope this makes the experience more enjoyable and engaging overall.
I’ve also transitioned the project to Ren’Py, which allows me to work faster and focus more on:
  • More scenes
  • More visuals and animations
  • More variety in environments and outfits
  • Better storytelling overall

As mentioned in the previous post, the scenes are mostly the same, but there is now also the first part of Ping.
To introduce Ping properly, I had to adjust parts of Simon’s narrative arc. This is why the release took a bit longer than expected.
Another important note:
Some characters may look slightly different. This mainly affects the two figures connected to Angelica’s personality, including their names.
Other characters have also received small name changes to make them more international.
For example, Simone is now Simon.
Now everything is ready.
From the next releases onward, access will follow the usual tier order (from $25 to $1), but for this first test, I want everyone to experience it together.
Thank you for your support and patience.
I’m really curious to hear your feedback.
See you on May 5.
