GSHADE & HORROR EXPERIMENTS - 4/29/2026
Been working for a while to work on making proper SL horror photography. These are just recent experiments.
I've been at this for a minute now, just had to stop for a while. Think I'm getting better at using the tools I have to my advantage with this particular style. I'm sticking with more basic "monster horror" right now since a) it's a lot easier to make (in my opinion) and b) it's more conducive for Erotic Horror Photography for the most part (again, my opinion).
My biggest bottleneck right now with these is that GShade just CANNOT produce the level of quality that I want for my shots, just as raw photos. Without GShade, my normal shots are taken around 6k resolution - about 6144x3433. GShade only shoots at whatever the native monitor resolution is, which in my case is 1920x1080. I've tried so many methods of getting GShade raw shots up to 6k, with limited success. Nothing I can consistently do just yet, but I'm working on it.
Thankfully, for this style of shot, where there's a lot of camera distortion and digital/analog static, I don't need super high quality shots. Actually, the higher resolution sort of breaks the consistency of those shots, imo, so I don't mind it too much for these. Me putting aside my hangups over the resolution let me just mess with GShade itself more, and I think I got some pretty good shots out of it. These will be good references for stuff I do down the line.
Future experiments are going to focus on steering away from presets (only one of these shots is with a preset), adding more erotic elements to it, and doing a bit more studying with psychological horror, which is my end goal
