The Silhouette and The Forge
Chapter 71

Footage of several people walking around with various parts of their bodies having minor animal traits if not outright looking like bipedal animals with human traits. The street-level splicing I had done was doing wonders.

Crime had upticked by a small margin, nothing too noticeable as people enjoyed the newfound joy of modifying their bodies. The funny thing about it is the majority of the people using it were either using it to goof around and find shortcuts to things in life, like getting in shape and just forgoing a lot of exercise, or making themselves look more attractive.

Case in point, a burlesque joint that just opened up in what was once considered one of the poorer districts that now looked like sparkling gold encrusted with gleaming jewels. Jobs were plentiful, and businesses were opening up all over the place now that they had incentive to do so when crime wasn’t the only means to make a livable wage.

But the burlesque joint, going off of the monitor keeping an eye on things, showed the woman with animal-like traits, several of the women having exotic-colored skin, ranging from deep emerald green with scales that added to their beauty instead of taking away from it to others with feathers across their skin and slightly longer arms and especially legs, the feathers having patterns not dissimilar to peacocks'.

The women strutted their stuff, with plenty of men wolf whistling as they continued on. Splicing in of itself wasn’t necessarily illegal. They didn’t have any laws on such a thing, especially when the people are consenting adults. Even if the one doing the splicing for them was done in shady corners of Gotham.

Another image showed a construction crew working tirelessly to repair and salvage what they could from what was left of my building, and so far they had gotten what they could out of it. The men with canine enhancements sniffed around, the others with far larger bodies and muscles on full display lifted things partially out of the ground, with some of them making a competition out of it, trying to see who could pull stuff out faster than the others.

It was almost like it was from the Olympics, four to five burly men spliced with bull genes tugging on reinforced ropes and dragging things out of the dirt. The crews were only let in quite some time after the government had their fill of spelunking into what was a fabricated underground bunker and weapons depot from the Cold War.

The pesky issue of the splicers from Batman Beyond having heightened aggression was mostly solved. I say mostly because there will be those trying to say, 'Oh, but I got angry and punched a guy’s lights out when he said mean things to me,' and to that I say get some anger management classes.

It isn’t on the splicing any longer, my knowledge in genetics saw to that. But the legality of it was in a gray area since it didn’t have any laws in effect. I can see them getting made rather quickly since the splicers were taking Gotham by storm. Not as overwhelming as the drugs, but not something anyone could overlook with how common it was getting.

I know Kirk was fuming about it, it also helped that the means of integrating the genetic sequences of the animals into the people used a similar but also different means of changing the person. It helped that it came from an alternate version of himself and his legacy that lasted into the future.

One body worked on the information after another visit at the base, holding the trident while watching the various footage in Gotham of areas that wouldn’t be boring to watch going on in the background. I had to do a double take watching a couple of cowgirls in revealing outfits come out modified with cow genes.

The place was a good investment when I heard of someone suggesting the idea and helped get it set up for them. It was through an alias, and it wasn’t anything malicious or even a front. It was just to give people something to relax and enjoy the beautiful women arrayed before them, while also conveniently working as a means to make the idea of splicing more natural and appealing.

It’s hard to say no to it when you have women that before this were fives or sixes out of tens and now are looking more like elevens to fifteens. How could you say no to splicing when you see those women with no blemishes and hourglass figures dance and strut in synchronized choreography with their leather vests struggling to contain those massive, bountiful mountains?

No red-blooded man can say no to that. The other me was currently sitting on Pamela’s couch in her new roomy apartment that might as well be no better than her old one with all the plants she had in it, watching a sword-and-sorcery fantasy show based off a book series she loved as a kid. She was animatedly pointing out the scenes that were different from the books, the two of us discussing what changes seemed better and what seemed bad.

Her hand accidentally touched her remote control, bringing it up to her recorded shows after an exaggerated arm wave at a scene they changed and had no right to, according to her, and I saw some of the shows on it as her face paled.

Several sounded like anime, but not quite the kind I expected Pamela to be into. Harem at the End of the World, Boy Meets Girls, Super Go Go Marines Harem Fighting Force, etc.

There were other shows sprinkled in, and now it had me questioning what she had hidden away in that closet she had when she first got this apartment and didn’t want me seeing it.

“Soooo… didn’t think you were into anime as well.” I said happily as she had her hands hiding her face, with it being red from embarrassment. Her hands now removed as she craned her head to look at me.

She had a searching gaze, trying to find something. What it was I had no idea, harem-style anime wasn't exactly my thing besides a few I had enjoyed because they had a surprisingly good story to them in my middle school years, but otherwise I stuck with shonen series and action-style things. Maybe a few from other genres, but stuff like Dragon Ball Z and Yu Yu Hakusho were always good in my eyes.

My arm sneaked around her and pulled her into my side, getting a yelp out of Pamela. “You… enjoy anime?” She asked hesitantly.

“Well of course. Though I can’t say I was big into harem ones, every now and again one with a good story would pop up. I preferred more action and adventure.”

She at first seemed tempted to get away from me, but what I said did the trick in getting her to relax before she leaned into my side with the elven princess arguing with the half-elf, half-human hero about what to do now that her people are practically extinct. The show was kind of dark and didn’t hesitate to go places other writers would have shuddered and hesitated to even touch upon.

“Do… you want to watch some of them?” She asked me, looking unsure but pushing through when I was nonchalant and accepting of it.

I tilted my head back and forth. “Sure. But let’s finish this episode before we do, it just got to a good part I was looking forward to. All I ask is that it has a good story and it isn’t just fan service.”

Pamela looked at me before leaning in and kissing my cheek. “I know a few you will enjoy then. I don’t know what I did to deserve you, Daniel, but I am thankful for it. Most people judge me for this.”

My hand grabbed hers and gave a reassuring squeeze. “Even if I wasn’t into stuff like that, I am not going to judge you for it, Pamela.” She gave me a look like I didn’t understand something but let it slide. No idea what that was about, but we have another thing we can enjoy together as a couple.

My body enjoyed the moment with her as we snuggled together watching the end of the world anime, whose beginning was pretty good for a harem series. Though I did note that the list of harem anime was… long. That was putting it mildly. There were pages of recorded shows of that genre, easily over a dozen pages.

Some of those pages she had avoided, and I noted the cable provider even had a locked symbol for it, marking it as more mature content. Instead of my mind going immediately into the gutter, I had assumed it was more like Berserk since some of the shows she liked had darker tones to them but also lightheartedness as well.

We were just watching a fantasy show that had some dark moments, so I let it slide and just relaxed into the couch as my body enjoyed the comfort of her right beside me. That had been something that got annoying when Pamela had to drag me away from any work or project I had going on and especially got up my butt about constant tests and scans to make sure what was going with my body was safe, but the feeling of comfort and companionship made up for it that much more.

My other body shook its head, enjoying how adorkable Pamela was. I idly think about what… Dad would think of her. Probably give me a massive thumbs up and say how proud he is that I managed to snag Poison Ivy before she became Poison Ivy. As far as I am concerned, that’s never happening. Whatever accident brought it about didn’t seem to happen, nor was it ever going to.

After the accident, our lab got fixed up pretty fast with even more fail-safes and security features for safety installed. It took little time for it to happen as well. I’ll give Bruce and his company that, they were quick to rectify incidents like that and prevent future mishaps.

Looking over several reports before I got up and checked over what the agenda was for today. Checking over the list before seeing a notice from some people I hadn’t expected.

It didn’t take me long to take a shortcut through one of many hallways that led to where I needed to go. Stepping out of the door and locking it behind me before a brick wall slid into place, blocking it off from the public. I stepped out using a genjutsu, keeping anyone from noticing me.

Rather not draw too much attention just yet. Stepping along before using some chakra and leaping and moving across the city like it was my personal playground. The sun was setting as I stopped at a random park for the ones wishing to meet me.

I stepped around the area, noting the various surveillance methods they had put in place, and subverted each of them, but not before seeing all who had wanted to meet me here. I had to do a double take, seeing he was interested in this little meeting. I never watched the entirety of the episode involving him in the Young Justice series and never knew what became of it and him, but I do remember him being someone who was a part of Cadmus from Justice League Unlimited.

I dropped the genjutsu and waltzed into the area. It didn’t take long for several suited men with black glasses not dissimilar to my hunters but nowhere near as capable. A man stepped forward wearing a military uniform with four stars prominently on display.

He even had his name on a badge on his uniform- Eiling. “You’re late.” He said gruffly.

“On time,” Came my calm reply. I was nonchalant, acting out a part just like any other.

He snorted at my comment as the US agents moved around, several keeping me in their line of sight and watching everything I did. Not like any of them could stop me if they even wanted to.

“Ethan Redhawk. You used to be one of us.” Eiling said, moving towards a bench past a water fountain that had long since stopped working for what had to be years if the damaged state it was in was any sign. The trees and bushes swayed to a gentle breeze.

“Heh.” I huffed at the mention of one of the aliases used by me, a fake one like so many others. “Key word- used to be. Now I am fighting the good fight without any chains or shackles holding me back. A free agent.” I walked forward observing a few flowers in the area.

Eiling snorted at that. “No such thing as a free agent." He gave me a complicated look. One that was a mixture of grudging respect and contempt. “Once you serve, you never leave. Your country needs you again.”

“Oh? Trying to play off of my sense of patriotism?” I chuckled and shook my head, taking off the gas mask that was in fact just another part of my body. My sun-kissed skin, high cheekbones, and long black hair gave the exact image I wanted to be seen by them. Any form of surveillance they had was already undermined and in my control, so I had nothing to be concerned about. And even if they somehow did, I was just going to dispose of this alias anyway, so it didn’t matter. Good thing I used my shapeshifting powers to my advantage. Instead of just using Will Hartigan, I chose a nondescript Hispanic man’s appearance. It looked close enough to a Native American, so it didn’t matter. These guys weren’t aware of Will Hartigan like Batman and the League. I’d prefer to keep it that way.

“A shame that died off long ago. Now all that remains is doing what must be done.”

“And what would that be? Being a terrorist to the country you had fought your own battles to protect? To spread chaos across it and make us look weak in front of our allies and enemies?” Eiling said with his fingers going up with the count, getting wound up the longer he went on, but I wouldn’t necessarily say he was angry.

“I prefer 'unifier' and 'liberator’. I didn’t make the entirety of our country look weak, merely our leaders. It was a long time coming if you ask me.” I walked around enjoying the atmosphere of the park with the exception of the company.

“If you truly think you are helping anyone, then you are mistaken. We now have several countries and the UN breathing down our necks, Nathan. One of the few good things that came of it was what we managed to salvage from Liberty Prime and what was left in that underground facility.” Eiling spat bitterly.

“How is it by the way? I assume the eggheads are enjoying taking apart and trying to better understand technology that is several decades old by this point. Say what you will about the fool who made its voice lines, but you cannot deny they had a knack for cutting-edge technology.”

I took a seat next to him, watching every one of his emotions and reactions to my words. He rolled his jaw before nodding towards me. “Advanced. Whoever forgot to leave behind any notes or documents of its existence was an idiot… or someone who thought they were more clever than what they were.”

“That we can agree on. The United States didn’t come out of this empty-handed. I did let you have access to the scraps that were left. Unless you have something else to say, this meeting is over.” I got up to walk away only to stop when a silver form hovered in the air above us.

Eiling got up and crossed his arms, a smug smirk on his face. “I beg to differ. You see… we can’t have a rogue agent like yourself running around, causing trouble. The government wants you. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. The choice is yours.”

A bark of laughter escaped me. Eiling looked perplexed as he and his men shared a look while none other than Captain Aaron looked tense, fully expecting me to do something. “I will admit Eiling, you got balls to try and bluff me.”

“I’m not bluffing.” He said adamantly.

“Sure you are, because there is no way you think Captain Atom alone will be enough to take me down. The same man who took on the Justice League with an old Cold War relic. The same man who managed to create highly advanced machines and life forms that could fight against a demigod and an alien who may as well be a god his own right.”

My face was inches from Eiling's, as Captain Atom looked ready and willing to fight me here and now, in this random park in a random city on the East Coast.

“And let’s say against all odds, you do manage to bring me in… you do realize how much collateral damage and the lives of our citizens will be put at risk? Do not put that on me and especially on Captain Atom.” My hand waved towards the man who looked surprised at my comment.

“Unlike you or me, he is a true patriot. He loves this country, and I know damn well he would not ever willingly risk its people, not for some random pencil pusher in Washington or some corrupt politician who couldn’t stand someone making them look bad. Do you take me for a fool, showing up here to a meeting with a four-star general without even thinking that it was some kind of a trap?”

“I actually do. You masked types are all the same, your egos get in the way of everyone, yourself included. And no, I don’t think you're a fool, I think you're an idiot for doing all that you have with the power you command. If you can’t be reasoned with, then we will have to settle for keeping you locked in a deep dark hole in the ground, prying what secrets we can from you.”

I looked towards Captain Atom while staying right beside General Eiling. “Can you believe this, your general is more than willing to risk innocent civilians just for a chance to apprehend me… are you willing to risk it? Are you going to be a good soldier and follow those orders?”

Captain Atom's expression hardened. “I will do what I must for my country.” Even though he said it with such conviction, I knew deep down his heart wasn’t in it. He wanted to apprehend me, but not at the cost of innocent lives.

I just stared at him, then Eiling and his cronies. No one made a move to arrest me. I chuckled and shrugged before walking away and placing the mask back on. “Since I have been amused thoroughly today, I’ll let you all off the hook this one time.”

“Arrest him!” Eiling ordered Captain Aaron, who stared long and hard at my back as I walked away, and none of them tried to stop me. “What are you doing? Captain, I gave you an order!” He pointed at me, a vein throbbing on his temple.

Eiling was not a happy camper. He just had one of the biggest thorns in his, the United States, and the Justice League's sides walk away when I was within arm's reach.

“Sir, the civilians… we can’t take him here.” He said, sounding helpless, yet I wouldn’t doubt for a second he was still contemplating coming after me. He was angry at the entire situation, but most of all, like Eiling, he hated the fact I was right in front of him.

Lording something that simple over people is nice. Makes me feel all powerful when people like him and Superman can’t even grab me when I am right in front of them. No wonder Lex and all the other supervillains developed some egos when dealing with the heroes. As Ozai said to Aang, all that power and you're still so weak.

I don’t view them as weak. Far from it. But it’s a slap in the face to everyone, especially them, when they can’t do a thing to me when I’m right here. Even if the meeting amounted to nothing, and an argument could be had about how I let them see my face, my counterpoint was that it wasn't the face of Will Hartigan, and any form of surveillance was compromised.

They had nothing. It was amusing to do, and something I had long desired to do in my old life was to rub it in their faces. The major powers within the government, not necessarily the president, but the old corrupt relics and fossils that still clung to life and held on to what little power they still had, believing themselves masters of the country and the world still when they were no longer in control of anything.

The people who had caused who knows how much damage and death in their time in power. Eiling's files and documents painted him as someone who was too clean despite rising through the ranks to a four-star General. Everyone has some black marks in their history, yet he somehow didn’t. One thing I had noted sometime ago was the higher the officials in the government, whether bureaucratic or military, the cleaner they seemed, the more glaring it was compared to those beneath them with things on record like misdemeanors.

No one is that clean. So like the others, Eiling had done some shady things. What those are, even I and the Engineers don’t know. The files were sparse, with little to go off of. I could hear Eiling yelling and screaming at Captain Atom and the other agents to arrest me.

I shook my head, a laugh bubbling up, with the mask doing nothing to remove the emotion of joy and entertainment at the four-star General getting angrier by the second. Beyond getting some amusement out of it, this meeting held another purpose. I had it run by Vandal to see if he didn’t mind, and to my surprise, he, if anything, encouraged it.

He summed up my thoughts on why it was good to do this. It made them look bad and created dissent amongst the ranks. Case in point, Captain Atom refused to do so when civilians were around the area of operations. The agents were part of that even if they had kept their distance and put more distance between them, but I think it was more due to them realizing they had no chance against me.

It destabilized what little control Eiling and those like him had, and it left a gap open for people like Vandal, Ra’s, and me to step in. Just when I thought I was going to walk away, Eiling pulled out a radio.

With my control over the technology around me, I could have stopped it, even giving false information that Eiling didn’t say at all. But deep down beyond taking amusement from this, even doing it for both my goals and the Lights, I was doing this because I loved doing it. It was just as others had described, it was for the love of the game.

“I need eyes on the Shadow, do not let him get away.” He said through the radio, various military squads kitted out and ready for war converged on my path taken through the park.

Captain Atom looked no longer uncertain, steel taking shape in his backbone as he looked less than thrilled with the general knowing he was sending military units into a populated area. I thankfully had the foresight to ensure people around the area had an alert detailing some major concern and that they were strongly recommended to vacate the area for authorities.

The people surprisingly listened, and most kept their distance. Those that wanted in were kept at bay by some charms I left, a sort of geass for civilians to stay away, getting a bad omen type of feeling if they tried to enter. The charms would lose their effect after an hour or two had passed.

Captain Atom finally made his move as he moved hard and fast in my direction. Not necessarily to apprehend me, even though that was a big enough reason, the other was to stop the military men from getting in over their heads.

A squad had me clocked, raising their rifles and opening fire. I weaved out of the way of the bullets, not even rubber balls, but honest to God, live ammunition. Eiling must be desperate, along with the rest of the country’s high-ups, to even sign off on something like this.

Zero hesitation on my part when five chakra threads attached to their necks without their notice before a surge of lightning chakra had the five men fall to the ground unconscious but alive. I had half a mind to just kill them for the audacity of doing such a thing when for all they knew civilians were within the confines of the park.

But I didn’t. They were following orders. It was easy for most people to say not to follow absurd, dumb, or straight-up evil orders. Most of those same people, when put in such a situation, would likely follow them as well, beyond a select few. How I know this is because working retail tends to clue you into who is who.

Lone wolves and independent thinkers I could see not following an order like the ones listed. Most people, when their boss tells them to do it or they are fired, tend to do as they are told. Regular Show did a good job of drilling that into my head as it likely did for plenty of other kids and teenagers.

The point being that if most people would follow simple orders, even if they are stupid and counterproductive, they would ultimately follow them in the end. If they follow those orders, when they are so simple, why would the more important ones be any different?

Now that doesn’t excuse the squad like the others converging on my position, but it also doesn’t mean they are entirely evil, if at all. Who knows what Eiling and the other higher-ups had told them, for all they knew, I was the devil himself, and they were the blessed holy guard sent by the heavens to smite me where I stood, no mercy given.

I stretched my body, more out of habit than any real need to do so, looking forward to this. I dissapeared in a blur of speed and in the middle of the squad of soldiers, equipped with plenty of fire power, the one in the rear immediately noticing me appearing in the middle of their formation.

“H-He’s here!” He raised his rifle but hesitated when I slid to the side and he saw his comrades were in the line of fire. My hand gripped the barrel and bent it so any bullets wouldn’t be leaving it. The next thing he knew, I had a firm grip on his head, lifted him up, and slammed the back of his head into the ground in one smooth motion.

His eyes rolled into the back of his head, and whatever else he was going to say died in his throat. The man was out cold, the others whirled around, weapons ready to unload. Instead, two were knocked up into the air and out of their hands when I transitioned into a front flip using both legs. My legs then snapped out a series of kicks on both men, taking them out of the fight before they even had a chance to draw their sidearms.

The last two opened fire and thankfully had a good enough aim to not hit their unconscious buddies. Pushing off the ground and flipping through the air before grabbing both of their heads while in midair and cracking them together.

The two unceremoniously toppled over with me long gone. I moved through the treetops like Tarzan, zipping about, toying with the various soldiers, who I suspected were special forces. Despite me making them look like a joke, they were not as weak as a simple soldier, nor were they incapable of at least putting up a fight.

Like the bullets that drilled through the leaves and twigs of the branch I was about to land on, I instead twirled midair, adjusting my trajectory, and grabbed a lower limb, avoiding the gunfire that tore the tree apart.

Now that got my interest. They weren’t playing around. “Boys,” I ducked back behind the tree after waving my hand at them, “Might want to tone it down, you know, for the civilians.”

Instead of toning it down, they chucked a grenade my way. Instead of landing like they expected, a chakra string stuck to it had it slam right back into the chest of one of the government's attack dogs. The man in question didn’t even hesitate and leaped away along with the others. The grenade went off, sending grass and dirt scattering, with their group mostly unscathed besides being covered in dirt and grass.

As one of them was about to get back up, a light tap to the back of his head had him out cold. The others didn’t even hesitate opening fire on me from all sides, whether they were prone or crouched. The bullets sailed through the illusion, with them unsure of what I was. A series of love taps too fast for them to even see had them all on the ground either in pain from minor broken bones or just knocked out.

Setting the body of what was supposed to be their comrade down, checking him over and seeing he had no injuries. I turned just in time to see Captain Atom's hands glowing.

“These are the people you serve and are willing to have men like that fighting for our country?” I gestured towards the downed men and the various spec ops moving towards our position, sticking to cover. What little good it would do them if I went all out. No jutsu would even be needed, taijutsu alone with my base strength and they would be torn to shreds.

He looked at the unconscious man, then the group he had seen did not even hesitate to potentially gun someone they knew down just to have a chance of either killing or capturing me. Of course, that was after they had realized I knocked out an entire squad with ease, and I was someone who had battled powered individuals of the Justice League.

That doesn’t change the fact I wasn’t killing them, and those that had broken bones were a courtesy of their willingness to kill what was supposed to be a fellow soldier.

His face may as well be set in stone, but I’d like to think my words hit their mark. His hands clenched tighter, the energy enveloping them getting brighter. “I serve my country, not these people.” His gaze remained fixed on me, ignoring the men who a moment ago had no issue committing friendly fire just to have a chance of taking me down.

“If it helps you sleep at night. Put the light show away unless you have no issue risking these guys getting cancer… if not worse.”

He did as told, albeit grudgingly. His power was strong, but in an area like this, even if the people were evacuated out of here, either Eiling would have had enough sense to block the park off or someone in Washington would have been smart enough to realize the collateral damage that could come from picking a fight with me using someone like Captain Atom.

“You're actually going to go through with this?” I asked him, tilting my head while circling him as if that would give me any clues to what the man was thinking.

His gaze never let me out of his sight. “I am. Not because of what Eiling or the corrupt officials tell me to do, but because it’s what is best for my country.”

I clapped in approval. Give the man that, he doesn’t blindly follow our country’s leaders. “Alright, so you want to involve them in it, or do you have a means to make them back off? Because if we get serious, they are going to get hurt.”

“I highly doubt you care for them in any capacity, but I do.” He placed his fingers onto an earpiece, speaking up. “This is Captain Atom. I have the target, don’t interfere or get in the combat zone. I repeat, I have the target, do not assist and keep your distance.”

I waited a beat, not just because of the men around us slowly backing off, albeit grudgingly. Several of them looked ready to defy that order but ultimately fell in line with a few dragging the unconscious away. I cracked my knuckles, for once actually happy that I wasn’t slinking around in the shadows.

Instead of running, I wanted to fight Captain Atom. Not because I lost my mind, or I was tired, or I was hiding. But because I wanted to test myself. To see how far I have come and if I could personally hold my own against one of the heavier hitters of this universe. I wouldn’t say Captain Atom here is Superman’s equal, but he would definitely make Superman work for a win if they ever fought.

I didn’t necessarily count Aqua Man since that was me taking advantage of his ego and getting him to let me set up an attack that required preparation even if it didn’t take too long to do. It was long enough that if he hadn’t let me set it up, our fight would have been much more difficult.

Batman… as much as I liked the guy, he’s just a man in a bat-themed suit. He is capable and resourceful and has plenty of gadgets and ingenuity that, if given time and information, could hit way above his weight class. But beating him in hand-to-hand considering what I can do just doesn’t work. It’s like expecting a newly born baby to fight against Mike Tyson in his prime.

Captain Atom, on the other hand, was a perfect test to see how far I had come. If I was capable of personally fighting against a heavy hitter in the cape scene. There were contingencies set up in case things went wrong or he was far beyond me. It would seem the government had seen fit to make sure the public was not aware of what was happening here and, by extension, the Justice League.

Each of the heroes was currently busy handling affairs in each of their respective cities and so was not privy to what was happening right now. I’d figured the government would bring someone capable enough to have a good chance in their eyes of either bringing me in or taking me down.

The people outside of the area that hadn’t been in the park were gathering at barricades and checkpoints the military had set up once they knew I was in the area and the fight broke out.

So we didn’t need to worry about them getting caught up in this. I cracked my knuckles walking up to Captain Atom with the utmost respect for what he was capable of, but there was no fear.

“I care enough to not kill them despite how some of them may deserve it. But let’s save the philosophical talk after the fight.”

Captain Atom got into a stance mid-air, his face hardening. “We don’t have to fight, you can surrender now and make it easier on both of us.”

I merely chuckled. “Where would the fun in that be?”

And the fight began with the two of us charging at one another once Captain Atom realized I wasn’t going to back down or surrender. Then my power hit me, knowledge and ideas flooding into me… about jutsu. Things that I hadn’t thought of before now came unbidden… this was going to be amazing.
