Future of the Page

Hey guys, so... the latest failure almost crushed me. I worked on the Ankha set for three weeks straight, harder than I’ve ever worked in my life, and I got zero response from the people outside of Patreon, which means zero new patrons from all that work. And this came right after another failure with Dita’s set. I know it may sound like nothing, but it broke me.
The first week was the hardest, I spent the whole week lying in bed, but I’m almost back on my feet now. Boohoo, poor me. I didn’t want to say all of the above just to squeeze out some sympathy. I didn’t even talk about it with my closest friends. But what I wanted even less was to make up lies, so I’m telling you this to explain the reason behind all the recent silence. Previously, I would just quietly disappear from Patreon, and now I know that was the wrong way to handle things.
Now, since I can’t make a living off Patreon, I have to take side gigs and maybe even look for a regular job. That’s not necessarily bad, but it means less time for Patreon, which means updates will be irregular and the platform will no longer be my number one priority.
Because of that, I’m going to make some changes to how things work here:
  1. The duration of each Season will now depend on the amount of content posted, not a time limit (2–3 months as before). For example, each Season will last for 4 art units. Each unit may be a pin-up pack, animation, or a short comic.
  2. I’ll probably leave only the $5 tier to make things simpler. Other tiers will be unnecessary (except for access to the previous two sets). Paying more would only mean extra support, which isn’t necessary. I need to think more about number 2. So I'll let you know a little bit in future, for now you can unsub or lower your subscribtion level, its up to you.
  3. I’ll support any refund requests for the last month. Please don’t hesitate to ask for a refund, I feel bad for not delivering the comic this month and delaying it for an unknown period, and this will be right thing to do.
Now about the next short comic: it will be the next art unit in the current Season’s theme, and I will make it. But first I need to earn money for something substantial (I’m moving). After that, once things are settled, I’ll continue working on it.
