Red Trouble

The alley was the kind of place people avoided after dark. Narrow, quiet, lit only by tired street lamps and the faint glow of distant neon. You should’ve kept walking.
Then you saw her.
She sat casually on the stone steps like the night belonged to her—red hair catching the dim light, eyes calm and sharp, watching you long before you noticed her. The kind of woman who didn’t end up in an alley by accident.
Every instinct told you she spelled trouble.
Still, you stepped closer.
A faint smile tugged at the corner of her lips, like she already knew you would.
“Funny,” she murmured, tilting her head slightly. “People usually try to avoid this place.”
You paused, but it was already too late. You’d seen her eyes, that dangerous spark behind them.
She leaned back against the wall, studying you.
“And yet,” she added softly, “here you are.”
And somehow… turning back no longer felt like an option. 🌙
