State of Subscribestar
For the past three months, I have only received a fraction of your donations. That's because payment processors have been playing hardball with Subscribestar and not processing them. I haven't said anything because I figured that was the price I was paying for being on a more tolerant platform. Now, it seems as though Subscribestar capitulated to those payment processors, and Subscribestar is no longer that tolerant platform.
They have altered what they consider acceptable content, and it lines up quite closely to what Patreon's guidelines are. Largely, I have tried to follow the guidelines on Patreon, and I have been ok. This was my backup in case things went awry. Now, since they are the same, if I fall afoul of one, I'm sure to fall afoul of the other. What's the point?
Subscribestar is now worse than Patreon.
Subscribestar puts a much lower limit on file size. Subscribestar only pays out when a threshold has been met. Subscribestar's features aren't as robust. Subscribestar doesn't keep great track of transactions and tax info. And the amount that they skim off of the top is not that much different from Patreon, since I have an older Patreon account. These issues were initially acceptable because they weren't as strict as Patreon. Now they aren't, so why bother?
I do not have a great feeling about the immediate future of my Rule 34 art in general, but if you want a better experience at a lower price, then you're better off on Patreon for the time being. I'm so sorry I suggested you all come here. I feel so bad about it. You deserve better.
If you're at all concerned about the future of my art (or art you like), please consider calling or messaging your representatives and the payment processors themselves to let them know that you won't stand for legislation that limits creative expression.
It's weird to be censored by people who are protecting actual pedophiles, but this is the world we live in for now.
I'll keep subscribestar open for now, but updates will be infrequent and everything in the free track is being deleted. The page will shut down when the amount donated per month is between 10-25 USD.

Fucking hell.....
Welp, that sucks. I guess I'll see you back on Patreon?
I'm sorry that this is happening to you
