Welcome...

We are Dreadpool Studios. Formerly known as "Deadbeat Studios", which was a play on my name that nobody will understand. The reason for the rebrand is just a switch in image. Many of our games will still be edgy as fuck and touch on topics many won't like, but that's the largest reason for the rebrand. Our games will be on the more serious side, but that doesn't mean we have to be. At the end of the day, we're just here to have fun. We don't have any ambitions beyond making short games that leave an impact.

Some of those games might trigger you or even get us kicked off Patreon here (so keep an eye up for SubscribeStar, whenever the fuck that'll go up), but that's the fun in playing russian roulette, eh? I think a little blood splatter fills the room nicely.

Dreadpool is made up of myself (Val) and my girlfriend (whom you'll never get the name of), who will largely exist as a writer for Odoacer in her free time.

We started on another game some time back, but it never saw the light of day beyond a development thread on F95. We may go back to it, but for now it's going under the bed with the rest of the bodies (you'll never catch me, FBI). But even if you manage to find that, you'll generally get the idea of why a potential Patreon ban is likely.

As a longtime lurker of AVNs and huge fan of many, I've always found a majority of the AVN world to be a bit too...I don't know, politically correct? I won't use the word "woke" because it's dumb and doesn't really circle around entirety of what I mean. Pale Carnations is the most fucked up thing 70% of AVNs players will even look at despite it effectively just being BDSM.

Take your most hated game. Doesn't matter what it is or why you hate it. The point is that it makes you feel something despite it being otherwise below average. And to that end? The best art is the art that makes people feel something, that makes people feel uncomfortable. It's the art that makes people think, challenges their morals, and makes them question something. College harems and mafia games are fun. Don't get me wrong. Every game has its place. None of which should be judged for their tastes. But sometimes a little unhinged is needed.

Anyways, we just wanted to put ourselves out there while we work on Odoacer. We promise it's gonna blow up like a firestone tire.

More soon. Discord coming whenever I find the time.
