The Dance That Woke the Sun

At dawn, when the desert still held the night’s breath, she danced alone between the pillars of the old temple. Gold caught the first light of the sun, and silk whispered secrets older than the stones beneath her feet.
They said her movements were not merely dance, but invocation. Each raised arm called warmth into the world; each slow turn coaxed life from sand and shadow. The gods did not demand prayers from her, only rhythm, only grace.
As sunlight poured through the archway, the hieroglyphs seemed to watch, listening. The wind stilled. Even the sun lingered, as if unwilling to rise until she finished.
When the dance ended, the desert exhaled, and the day was born.
