What Victory Bought Me
The instant Ahsoka was out of my sight and I felt I had gotten far enough from her, my head shook at how badly that could have gone for me. But the gains were worth it…
If my parents witnessed me beating on a child and flexing on her like that just to get some superpowers, they would have tanned my hide. Sure, my saving her helped, but it was because of me she was put in that position in the first place. Forcing myself to calm down, repeating it would all make it worth it in the end.
I had a voice that wasn’t a standard battle droid, and when that power was acquired, I racked my brain for any voice that would be both mysterious and intimidating yet charismatic. Then memories of me getting teased about my name and equating it to the time when Tobi from Naruto was revealed.
I got so much flak for that, but who’s laughing now? They’d still probably be since they weren’t the ones currently in a galaxy at war stuck in what could be argued to be the worst robot in science fiction. So at least I was compensated by being given a voice that shifts and changes into just about any kind of voice I wanted. So Ahsoka got to talk to me while I imitated Obito when he was still masquerading as Madara.
Otherwise, I would have remained silent the entire time I beat on Ahsoka… not wanting to dwell on that messed-up line of thinking, my attention was now focused on the other tickets I had acquired. A simple yes to both, and what I got would have given me a big ol’ smile if I had a mouth.
You managed to defeat Ahsoka Tano with vastly superior skill and not get hit once while having a body that was vastly inferior to hers! One gold ticket. Use now? Y/N
You saved Ashoka’s life! One silver ticket. Use now? Y/N
174.Nemesis (3.7 Rarity, 16.41% odds)
-Rare Familiar-
Resident Evil - A modified tyrant bioweapon created by the Umbrella Corporation. Tyrant possesses massively superhuman stats and great regeneration, being able to survive as long as he has enough living cells left. But its greatest strength is its ability to rapidly mutate and adapt. No, not anywhere close to Mahoraga levels.
170. Chidori (3 Rarity, 0.21% odds)
-Rare Ability-
Naruto - Allows the user to cloak their hands in violent sharp electricity that also enhances piercing and cutting ability, essentially turning their hands into lightning blades.
Chidori! One of the most iconic signature moves I can remember, besides a few others that eclipsed it in popularity, like the Kamehameha or Spirit Gun. Even if I’d rather not use it against someone with a lightsaber unless I was stupid enough to get my hand melted and sliced off. Zero confidence in Chidori blocking, let alone cutting through, a lightsaber.
But it was still an awesome move, and considering the crazy stuff Kakashi and Sasuke could do with it, it was just a matter of time until I recreated some of their techniques. Maybe even make my own. The mere thought of it made me so excited. It was like Christmas for me all over again when I got those Gundam models I wanted so badly.
The big thing that had me excited enough that I was vibrating in place was Nemesis! The big hulking behemoth from Resident Evil 3. Even if he wasn’t a means to just let me beat back anyone stronger than me with him, he was still a good pull.
Though some information when he was acquired told me it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Once he was summoned physically out of my soul, which was a trip learning I still had one despite being a machine, now he would be stuck here in the physical plane. Other information, such as if he is somehow destroyed, is that he and other summons could be brought back after a certain amount of time has passed, varying on their rarity.
Nemesis would take a month, and anything else was a guess for me. It didn’t say how long for anything but Nemesis. Not wanting to have to give an angry Anakin answers, which wouldn’t work because he was Angry with a capital A, I summoned Nemesis.
One moment nothing was in front of me beyond a wall at the end of the corridor I had taken. Next thing I know, after a mental shift, a massive bipedal monster easily over seven feet tall stood before me, garbed in what looked like a trash bag used as a makeshift body bag.
He towered over me, breathing heavily with a trail of drool coming out between his teeth that wouldn’t look out of place on a beaver. He shifted and took a step toward me that made me wary. Holding a hand out to him, “Stop.”
He did as commanded, staying in place looking down at me with his only eye. Dude, Umbrella really outdid themselves when it came to making a terrifying monster. The games did not do Nemesis justice with how terrifying and intimidating he is right now.
“I need you to get me out of here and down to the street below.” My hand pointed down at the glint of metal peeking out of the curtain I had taken to hide my body from prying eyes. It worked surprisingly well considering Ahsoka didn’t seem to realize I was a droid.
A big meaty hand grabbed my torso before I could respond before roaring out and charging at the wall. “Starrrrs!”
Nemesis had taken personal offense to the wall's existence before charging headfirst, breaking through it like it was glass while I screamed the entire several-story drop from nearly the top of the building. If anyone said it sounded like a little girl screaming, then they are a lying liar who lies.
Air rushed past us while I clung to Nemesis' hand, which could almost fit my entire upper torso in it like it was a lifeline. I may as well have been entangled in the fingers with how scared I was watching the street loom closer with a tide of droids beneath us.
A few noticed the growing shadow before looking up. They didn’t even have a prayer as the custom-made Tyrant squashed them into the ground with a crater forming under him.
“Stars.” He breathed out, looking towards me. I think I became one with his hand with how hard I was gripping it.
The droids around us stopped for a moment, watching Nemesis, who paid them no mind. “Don’t just stand there, run to safety!” I pointed out into the distance.
Wrong thing to tell him. Before any of the droids could question if Nemesis was an enemy or friend, he ran and knocked down or just stepped on the droids blocking our path. Must be what it was like to watch a bear dig its way into a beehive, ignoring the bees around it. The droids’ screams eventually faded away once Nemesis got past them and leaped high into the sky, landing onto a street empty of droids.
Only a few clone bodies were left as Nemesis continued to run. My hand smacked its forearm several times to get its attention. “Stop! Stop! I said Stop, you oversized-- oof.” My insult was cut off when Nemesis did as it was told and abruptly stopped, with my head going right into its meaty thumb.
“Okay… we are good. I am going to get off you now.” I said, sounding out of breath, and then found myself reminded yet again of my new nature. Old habit, I guess.
Head hung low for a brief moment before dropping, and almost falling from the height I was at when clinging to Nemesis, I quickly got the curtain off of me and tossed it to the side.
“Alright, what’s going to happen is this. You're going to run around and terrorize the clones while they retreat, minimizing casualties on the clones as much as possible. The droids that look like me,” I paused, realizing I might want to be more specific, “Or any other machine that the other droids don’t shoot is considered on their side, and you don’t attack them even if they attack you. After the clones retreat, you flee this place and hide out on the outskirts of the city.”
I listed off trying to keep this as specific as possible to avoid what just happened a moment ago and seeing if Nemesis could somehow make it even worse. He was about to run off, but I waved my hands in a panic, “I’m not done! Take this, I’ll get another one that will let me communicate with you. I’ve already programmed a link into it that no one else should be able to patch into so I can give you more orders. Alright?”
Hands on my hips or the sad equivalent a B1 battle droid had to them, Nemesis looked down at me before looking at the device he could easily crush without even trying before sliding it into a random spot in his black rags he had adorning his body.
With a flex, he leaped before a tentacle came out of his arm and wrapped around a building before Spiderman-ing his way across the city.
Didn’t know he could do that…
Quickly moving through the city and falling in line near the rear of the horde of droids, watching the various Republic gunships fly off with Nemesis crashing into any holdout points the clones had, sending them tumbling back, ignoring the blaster fire peppering his massive frame.
At least they weren’t dead, as Nemesis just destroyed their fortifications, completely ignoring whatever they fired at him since none of it did a thing to him. My train of thought as to why I am letting Nemesis do this is because I am not taking any chances with Anakin being around.
Having watched enough shows and Star Wars media to know that Anakin is the type of person who could turn a situation around and somehow, someway, pull victory from my hands. I need more power if I am going to survive and ensure Palpatine doesn’t become the emperor of the Empire. The Republic has its issues, but the Empire is far worse.
If someone is capable and has the necessary resources, they can have a say and even push for other means to get the Republic back on track. The Empire, not so much. Not unless I want to murder my way up the chain of command, and even then it wouldn’t work because my new body is a droid. The Imperial forces were known for being racist against anyone not a human, and I highly doubt it would be any different with a droid.
So that leaves me with several options that won’t be happening in the immediate future unless I get something that can become a game changer. The few times I did see Nemesis doing his best Hulk impression was something that put the fear of god in me.
It can now be said with absolute certainty why Jill Valentine is an absolute badass. The fact that she had to deal with this thing personally hunting her down across Raccoon City and she managed to keep it together and not freak out is a testament to how strong she was mentally. I, on the other hand, if I could have screamed and run away in terror, would have.
One moment a group of clones was trying to hold back the droids while they bought time for the others to get to the drop ships. The next thing anyone knew, Nemesis dropped on top of a metal barricade used as cover. He didn’t crush it so much as the piece of metal had become one with the dirt beneath his feet.
“What the hell is that?!” One clone cried out in shock.
Another shouldered their blaster rifle. “Doesn’t matter, shoot it!”
Nemesis didn’t even show any outward sign that he could even feel the blaster bolts’ impact on his massive frame. There were scorch marks where they managed to hit his head, but otherwise, he was unfazed by it.
A guttural growl escaped him before, with a sweep of his arm, one clone was sent flying several meters, where he groaned. “Retreat! Get Blast and-- agh!” The leader of the group tried to salvage things and give them orders, only to then get mowed down by the droids marching on their position.
What was left of the squad quickly left before Nemesis, who just ignored the droids occasionally shooting him in the back, flexed his legs, and off he went to torment other clones in the city. What felt like several hours was just an hour and a half, and the entirety of the Republic's forces was in full retreat.
Seeing an opportunity with one of the tactical droids that served the higher-ranked one as we pushed towards the last remnants. “Push onwards, with the Republic's defeat here, we will have an opening to the hyperlane to-- ah!” The tactical droid didn’t get a chance to say whatever advantage we would have had when a blaster bolt hit the back of its head.
Some of the droids stopped shooting while looking at the downed form of our commander. Well, their commander, not mine. Giving the clones enough time to get the hell out while they could.
Watching the last of the LAAT gunships fly off towards space, leaving behind the city, I discreetly grabbed the communicator off of the tactical droid and scurried off with none of the other battle droids noticing. Seriously, I look like one of them, and despite how odd my behavior is in comparison to them, they don't even seem to realize it.
Now sure, we were in the aftermath of a raging battle, one of many in a galaxy-spanning war, but I do expect some questioning or even some form of intelligence from droids that managed to develop personalities, however dumb they were.
Nope! Not one of them noticed. So I got to work programming what I needed on the device, and thankfully Nemesis did as ordered and this time did what I needed and not just what I said to do and then did it badly.
Like screaming Stars loud enough to wake the dead and grab me to run out of a wall when we were several stories above the ground. It was a miracle that my metal body wasn’t destroyed from being dropped from that height even when Nemesis was holding me. Beyond a few dents and some parts of my limbs being bent, my frame was surprisingly intact.
With the last of the blaster fire dying down, I relaxed, stepping back against a nearby wall. Taking a moment for myself as all the tension bled out of me. That was a hell of a thing to think about.
Despite my body being entirely mechanical, I didn’t need to worry about basic bodily functions or needs. It’s something I took for granted. The constant beating of my heart, every breath taken and exhaled. My eyes blinking or even closing to not look at something terrifying or gruesome.
All of it is now gone, and in its place is an empty void that I don’t know how to fill. Whether that was because of my current stressful situation, which apparently being a droid didn’t help me escape or find a way to nullify my stress. Even if it wasn’t showing physical signs, it was still there. What am I going to do if this all fails? Where will I go? How will I survive? What are my short-term goals to reach my long-term ones?
I can’t just expect everything to work out. Sidious had the help of a thousand years of resources, knowledge, and research built up as a foundation that led to his ascension. Even thinking that I could just waltz in and topple him from his throne is foolish.
Even if it wasn’t necessary, I forced myself from such thoughts by taking a deep imaginary breath and letting it all out. The manic thoughts that bordered on panicking faded away before I dropped my blaster, looking down at my unfamiliar hands. “I… I did it. I survived and managed to repel the Republic.”
My voice was quiet as I slid down from the wall I was resting against. Sitting on the concrete unconcerned, I looked over at the various buildings in the distance with the last of the Republic ships leaving this planet behind.
I felt nothing but relief, only wanting to curl into a ball on my bed back home and just go to sleep. As Dorothy said it best to Toto, we aren’t in Kansas anymore… My home is far away, and I doubt I will ever see it again.
But that doesn't mean I can’t make a home for myself in this galaxy. I just need to make sure anyone who would or could ruin it doesn’t. Nodding to myself before I could activate the communication device, what popped up in front of me made me happy.

443.Observation Haki (5.6 Rarity, 0.32% odds)
-Epic Ability-
One Piece - Allows you to expand an imaginary sensory field that allows you to sense movements and objects inside. At higher levels of mastery, you can accurately distinguish between targets, energy, and even emotions.
Whatever thoughts I had screeched to a halt at what was given to me. Observation Haki?! Oh, that is so good to have. With that and my swordsmanship, I may as well be a pseudo Jedi by this point! The next ticket may not be as good, but I am so excited to see what I get next. My excitement soon turned into complete disappointment.
Intermediate Kama Sutra (2.2 Rarity, 0.42% odds)
-Uncommon Skill-
You are experienced in the sexual arts, being skilled at pleasuring your partner and being a pleasant recipient. You know how to spot arousal and what your partner responds to.
My head looked up at the smoke-filled sky with the system's stars’ light coming down from above. “Why?” My arms held out, hoping for an answer to why it is giving me things that are useless to me and something I wouldn’t mind using when I need to relieve some stress.
It just has a rather glaring roadblock…Like how I have no genitalia! Even my sense of touch is dulled down to the point I wouldn’t get anything from it.
My metal fist clanged against the concrete, completely ignoring how I might damage my hand. “Damn you. Damn you all to hell, especially the Omnissiah! Yes, the flesh is weak, but without feeling, what is the point of living…” I trailed off, my head hanging low, before I sighed, letting it all go. Looking towards my last ticket to see what was given.
173. Neferpitou (5.2 Rarity, 0.14% odds)
-Epic Familiar-
Hunter x Hunter - As a Chimera Ant Royal Guard, Pitou is an extremely powerful Nen user with a massively superhuman physique and agility as well as incredible mastery over Nen. Alongside her extreme sensory abilities, she possesses the ability to puppeteer corpses to use as minions and summon Doctor Blythe, a potent healing ability that requires her to stand still and lower her guard to restore a target over time. Her trump card allows her to puppeteer her own body to strengthen herself.
If I had a jaw, it would have dropped at who was granted to me. This answered nearly all my prayers! Access to Nen would help me so much. I just wanted to laugh like an evil mastermind knowing how much of a game changer Pitou just made things.
Looking around, realizing I couldn’t just summon her here and now with the droids marching around checking for survivors. She was more intelligent than Nemesis and just didn’t want to risk another chance at anyone seeing yet another unfamiliar alien creature roaming about not long after Nemesis showed up and disappeared. Once was enough to garner attention, twice without a day going by is something that needed to be examined with a fine-tooth comb.
Rather not have my abnormal behavior be picked up by someone who would notice the battle droid acting stranger than they normally do by showing higher than average intelligence. After that reveal, hours went by with me walking patrols with other droids. Separatist reinforcements came in the form of a fleet of ships to ensure that when the Republic returned, they would not just be able to seize back control so easily.
Many of the civilians who were left in the city were rounded up and accounted for. We all stood around them while they kneeled on the ground, heads ducked low. They looked at each of us warily while the tactical droid in charge of this entire battle prattled on about how they would now be liberated from the Republic and help the Separatist movement free even more from the Republic's grip.
Some of the people nodded along warily, and others had frowns on their faces, but any form of rebellion was something I doubt any of these people had on their minds. When clones trained from birth couldn’t stop them, then what chance did a bunch of civilians like them have? None of them tried anything with my Haki being used constantly, not wanting to be the unlucky one to get shot first.
The movements of their hands all played out before me. Each clench, gritting of their teeth, and shuffling of feet was seen. The awkward shuffle, adjusting posture to make themselves more comfortable, was all observed by me. Even the droid’s movements could be felt despite how stiff they were.
Despite my Haki being used constantly, with me noting the edge of it had slowly increased in diameter, no rebellion came, the people went back to what was left of their homes in a war-torn city. What the Separatists hoped to do with this planet wasn’t made known to me, just that they needed it.
Didn’t mean I didn’t feel bad for these people. Got abandoned by the guys supposed to protect them and now have to deal with a machine army using their planet for who knows what, and they get no say in what happens. It’s something that if I succeed could be changed to help these people out. Despite my machine body, I still have my heart and soul.
My patience grew thinner after each hour passed before the majority of the droids, myself included, were ordered into the ships for the next part of the war we would be sent to. Nemesis remained hidden, to my relief, when droids were sent out in scouting parties. They never gave up, but the commander gave the order for some to remain in search of what it described as a ‘potential asset.’
No doubt already reported to Dooku or others higher up in the chain of command. Something like Nemesis just appearing and kicking the Republic around while shrugging off blaster fire was something you reported to a higher-up.
Making myself hold still and not fidget before managing to sneak away for a brief moment. “Alright, let’s do this,” I said aloud, trying to hype myself up despite not feeling it.
No more hesitation on my part, with Neferpitou summoned before me, looking directly at me with an intense gaze. She soon bowed lowly towards me, her cat ears twitching, “Your majesty.”
“No need to bow or call me that. Do you mind if I call you Pitou?” She just tilted her head with a small playful smile directed at me.
She nodded her head at me. “You can call me whatever you want… what would you like me to call you?” She asked respectfully.
“Just call me Tobi, Pitou. Can you give me access to Nen?” I asked the most important question on my mind after introductions were out of the way.
She blinked, tapping a finger against her lips before shrugging. “Maybe? Let me try Tobi.” She brought both of her hands to my chest, but nothing happened. “Sorry, my lord. I can’t do it, you're not alive like I am.”
My head hung low at the chance of Nen being ripped away from me. It sucked, but it wasn’t going to stop me from going through with the plans I had thought up since I gained Pitou as a summon.
Unlike Nemesis, I didn’t know how long it would take to get her back if someone managed to kill her. So she was now the most valuable piece I had on my board against Sidious and anyone that needed to die in this galaxy. Ideas had come and gone on what I could do with her, but one that proved worthwhile in both the short term and long term was that it was surprising no one tried to take care of this issue earlier than what originally happened.
““Alright, Pitou, what’s going to happen is this,” Activating the communicator that brought up the massive sitting form of Nemesis, “You're going to meet up with Nemesis here and unlock his Nen.”
Nemesis let out a growl followed by a stars as he nodded at me, with Pitou bowing lower than before but pausing when my hand tapped her shoulder. “No more of that. Then you're going to learn as much as you can about this galaxy and its history, people, and especially technology, like how to operate a ship. Once you’re confident you can pilot and use one to get across the galaxy, you’re going to go here...”
Pitou nodded along, while Nemesis just sat there breathing but listening intently the entire time. I listed off what our plans were and how it was of the utmost importance that no one knew of her and Nemesis's involvement in what was to come. It needed to be clean and free of any foul play otherwise, the plan that could make things so much easier for me would go up in flames.
“I know I am asking a lot from you, Pitou, despite you just getting here, and I apologize.” My words abruptly stop as her head snaps to me before she shakes her head, white hair waving with her ears.
“You need not apologize, and I, your loyal servant, can accomplish all that you asked of me.” She turned towards the image of the hulking Tyrant, giving it a smile filled with teeth and malice. “I will meet with you soon, Nemesis, to begin your training.”
She then nodded respectfully to me before raising a finger questioningly, “Tobi, would you like me to repair your body?”
Looking down at my body and seeing how scuffed up it was made. Looking over at a few droid bodies that littered the streets. Turning back to Pitou as I fight the urge to try to touch her soft-looking cat ears. Whoever put me in this body has a sick sense of humor, enough to make me question if they are a devil.
I have a cat girl that views me as her king, and I can’t enjoy any of it physically. A cat girl for Pete’s sake! But in time that might be corrected, but for now I must wait. Instead of repairing me, several ideas come to mind.
“How good are you with robotics?” She seemed to know where this was going as she nodded, grabbing a few droid bodies to start working on.
