Reworked Word Bank FAQ and Changes 

Just to clarify some of the rules. Let's get started with it then: 
Q1) How does the new word bank work? 
When you first sign up to my Patreon, you will have a first time bonus of free words and that month's incremental rate. These words can be used to discount commissions from me and thus reduce prices accordingly. 
After their first month, they will get a flat increase of words depending on how long they are pledged to me. There's two break points: 
  • After 3 months 
  • After 1 year 
E.g. $6 Patron signs up in January and have the first time bonus of 500 words and gets the January's first month increment of 250 words. Currently his word bank will be at 750 words. 
He wants a commissions from me at 1000 words (Total price of $35) and he redeems 250 words for free so the final price will be $26.25 (Paying for 750 words essentially). 
When February comes around, he will get 250 words so he will have a total of 750 words again. 
If he continues pledging towards me up till April, his increment will increase to 375. Since there's no compounding interest in play, he will not be punished for using his words early or later. (Could store them or could just used them in one go) 
Finally, if he sticks with me for a whole year up till 2027, the increment will increase to 500 words. 
Q2) What are the conditions required for me to redeem these words?
You must be an active patron when you redeem it. Any words that you have accumulated when you were a Patreon will be wiped completely once you cancel fully. 
Q3) How are you keeping track of this?
Coded an entire website for it. 
On the left column is the patron pledge while the right will have their current word bank. Simple system. 
Q4) How do I check the number of words in the word bank? 
Either message me on Patreon or use the Discord bot (/statistics) to receive the text in private. On Subscribestar, I'll just send you a snapshot of the user profile which would look something like this: 
Hey look, its me! But yeah, just simple statistics to let you see it all in a view. 
Q5) Any constraints on this system? 
Just a few couple constraints. 
  • Maximum words that can be stored in the bank is 3000. 
  • Maximum words to be redeemed is 3000 in one commission. 
  • In a month, I will have a limit of 9000 words being redeemed (so I don't starve over the month cause money yk) 
    • If you are claiming it once the threshold have been met, I'll kindly ask you to save it for your next commission or redeem it next month. 
Q6) How do I redeem it? 
When you are asking for a commission, you can just let me know you are redeeming it and I'll deduct it accordingly. 
Q7) How many words do I get per tier? 
As of now, the word bank will be (all of them are words): 
  • Early Birds ($3/month): 
    • First time bonus: 500 
    • Basic Increment: 100/month 
    • After 3 months, increment: 200/month
    • After 1 year, increment: 300/month 
  • Seekers ($6/month): 
    • First time bonus: 500
    • Basic Increment: 250/month 
    • After 3 months: 375/month 
    • After 1 year: 500/ month 
  • Observers ($10/month) & Fate Weavers ($20/month): 
    • First time bonus: 600
    • Basic Incremental: 300/month
    • After 3 months: 500/month
    • After 1 year: 600/month 
  • Grand Archivists ($25/month): 
    • First time bonus: 750
    • Basic Incremental: 750/month
Do note if you upgrade or downgrade, your words will not change but the increment will change as such. Fortunately, the website can manage that for me so no worries there. 
Q8) I'm an existing Patron, how does this affect me? 
Alright before January 2026, I'll be using the old system with the compounding interest. The new system will be in place after 31st January 2026. 
I'll be looking back at my code and refactor based on the new system, checking through which Patrons have been pledged 3 months and onwards and which ones are nearing a year. 

By 1st February 2026, I will roll out the new system and you should be able to claim the new increment gains. 
Q9) Why are you doing this now? 
Its because the previous system incentives hoarding which isn't a fun experience for Patrons where after using their words, they are punished for not saving. As a result the 'true' way to do it is save up till 5k words and spend 2k words each month to incur interest every month. 

And saving up till 5k words isn't what most people want so after hearing feedback from some of you guys, I decided to change it into this system.
