Don't worry, the update is coming, but there's one thing everyone should know...
I don't expect to release the update until Sunday, 28th December this time. Unfortunately, VoxDo from WooTechy is preventing me from releasing it today or tomorrow. I use this software for the VoiceOver content.
Background:
I'm afraid that in the last 5-10 days, a strange filter has been activated in VoxDo by WooTechy for my account of all things. In public forums, VoxDo is described as completely censorship-free. It can or "could" voice everything, even hardcore NSFW content, and all associated words.
However, for about 5 days now, I haven't been able to get a single sentence as a voiceover that contains the words “fuck” or “cock.” In 90% of all cases, I get an error message saying that the prompt was unsuccessful. If I change the two words to “pounding” and “monster,” it works fine.
When I asked customer support directly, they confirmed that there were no silent updates and that VoxDo is basically uncensored. In addition, the response was unusually brief. Along the lines of “fuck you...”
They also mentioned that no explicit content related to pornography may be set to VoiceOver. Everything contradicts itself.
That's bullshit, because so far I've been able to record everything I wanted and everything that was in the previous episodes perfectly and quickly. And because no other devs have this problem. I have no idea why this is the case, but I fear that it is again due to a few NTR haters. I can imagine that there have been complaints, also because I mentioned VoxDo on Patreon and Subscribestar.
Reinstalling, VPN, and more complex prompting don't help. It's now similar to Grok Imagine... Horrible! I am now forced to avoid certain words altogether. And to create VoiceOver in much shorter texts/sentences. This costs me significantly more time... and nerves.
I will release EP7 as planned in this way, even though I'm in a bad mood because I'm worried about the next episodes. At the beginning of January, I will experiment with open source software that runs locally on my own computer. Apparently, it is possible to train voices. I don't know what the result will be, but it's possible that the narrator will sound a little different.
I spent a lot of money on a lifetime subscription and now I'm stuck with a problem that no one warned me about. Solve one problem, and the next one comes along...
A lifetime subscription means that I could theoretically create VoiceOver for additional 12-15 episodes. If they pull the plug on me like this, I'll use all the developer forums to raise awareness.
Have a nice weekend!
