Day 25 - Forest (TaylorCollie)
"You like your flip-flops, don't ya? Cute, cute… what if I could get you walking on something even ssssofter, ssspringier~?"

Night had fallen, but Taylor still was out on their forest walk. It was way past their usual time.
Not that they'd noticed.
Taylor had slipped off the beaten path as if it was always the way they intended to go.
Something had caught their eye in the darkness, and their body simply veered towards it, grabbed by a gentle gravitational pull.
What was that in the darkness amongst the woods?
Taylor could make out shapes, twisting and moving in the dark, like a jumper being knit in front of them.
Something very dark and glossy…
Not only that, there were flashes of colour now and again from… something…
Something very pretty…
Taylor's eyes illuminated the way in front of them. Purple and gold rings flowed through their lazily drooping eyes. Their flip-flop clad paws dragged sluggishly and their curly tail wagged slowly and gently.
From that darkness, a long dark tail with a pearly white underbelly snaked into view, and beckoned with a coquettish curl. In response, Taylor picked up their pace, nodding quickly as if to say "yes, yes, I'm coming!"
Words didn't exist for the dog. Just colour and swirl and scritch-scratch-crunch of the grass beneath their feet…
Until their right flip-flop snagged on a stealthy little tree root. The strap caught on their toes, and they tumbled forward like a felled tree.
Taylor was too busy smiling and thinking of pretty colours to break their fall, so they crashed chin-first onto the (thankfully soft) forest floor.
The impact knocked the wind out of their stomach and the swirls out of their mind.
"Agh!" Taylor immediately rolled over, bringing their paws to their snout just to confirm that it hadn't been broken…
As the collie dog blinked their watering eyes, light and lustre returned to them, and they rolled over and sat up.
"What the…. where did I… bloody hell…"
They grunted as they climbed to their feet, brushing the dust off of their hiking clothes. They swivelled around, scratching at the base of their antlers as they tried to piece together what had happened in the last….
How long had it been?
They were on the beaten path, near the edge, then they were suddenly flat on their face in the middle of…
…Gah, they could have been in another forest entirely for all they knew!
Thankfully, Taylor didn't have much trouble seeing at night. One perk of being half-deer and half-dog. They peered at the ground behind them, looking for the telltale pawprints… as well as their shoe, still embedded in the snarl of roots. As they pulled it out and slipped it back on, they heard a rustle.
It wasn't too far away, but it was close enough for Taylor to whip their head towards it, their floppy ears pricked.
The rustling continued. Taylor quickly put their sandal back on.
"Who's there…?" they said, squinting into the dark. They couldn't see any movement, except for the usual bugs one might see at night.
"H-hi!"
Out of a nearby bush emerged the unmistakeably luminescent white face of a red panda. They looked… kinda scruffy. Their brown hair was going all the way down their back, and there was a slight scruffiness to their broad, round face. They were wearing a filthy, half-buttoned shirt - once ochre, now more 'rotten-orange' in tone.
"Oh man, I haven't heard anyone else's voice in s-so long!" the panda reared up a little, looking cautious, yet relieved.
"…Hey," Taylor said, cautiously. "Are you… lost?"
"Is it that obvious?" the red panda sighed and rolled their eyes. "I'm Cashmere, pleased to meet ya!"
"I'm Taylor," the dog-deer said. "I guess your night vision isn't so good?"
"Yeah…" Cashmere sighed. "I've got a bad s-sense of direction at the best of times-s…."
There was a slight halting lisp to Cashmere's speech. Taylor took note of that.
"Do you know how you ended up out here?" Taylor asked.
"Uh… not really. I think I was jus-st going for a walk, then I, uh…" their face scrunched up; they looked a little frustrated.
"Got lead into the forest by some dancing lights, something like that?"
Cashmere snapped their fingers and pointed, their eyes wide. "Yes! Ex-sactly that! This fores-st's-s very easy to get lost in…"
"Why don't I give you a paw?" Taylor asked. "You can stick with me."
Taylor started to approach Cashmere. The red panda moved back slightly, looking a little nervous…
There was a snap behind Taylor.
Both the dog-deer and the red panda yelped. Taylor practically leapt into the bush, almost landing directly into Cashmere.
"Agh, sorry…" Taylor looked bashfully over their shoulder at Cashmere, before turning to face them again. "That's the deer in me, acting up again."
"It's okay…" Cashmere said, still shifting back from Taylor, not quite ready to trust him… "It's-s not safe. There's predators of all sorts about. And you look pretty tasssty - I mean, that's what I would say, if I were a predator."
Taylor grimaced, laughing nervously. "Uh… thanks?"
For a moment, Taylor swore they saw a little forked tongue from between the panda's lips. But that was probably their mind playing tricks on them. The prey-side of his brain seeing everything as a potential threat.
Although, getting a closer look at them now, there was something slightly off about the panda's proportions. Taylor couldn't see anything below the panda's waist, but they seemed to be too low to be standing upright. And when they did move, it was a fluid, easy motion…
Cashmere was looking up and around.
"Do you hear that….?" the panda asked.
There was another rustle, this one from above. Taylor looked up. They could see the outline of a length of coils as thick as their torso, slowly oozing along through the trees. They froze up, and reached out to put a hand on Cashmere's shoulder.
"Don't panic… but how are you with snakes?"
"Oh, snakesss?"
Taylor felt something brush along their right ankle. Something smooth and cool and dextrous. It curved right around, and it slid under their paw to squish between it and their sandals. Before they could yelp or giggle or shout, their eyes were drawn back to Cashmere's and…
"I love sssnakesss… there's no love like sssself love, after all~"
Oh, that's where the colours had went. There they were again.
Taylor missed them…
Normally, neither dogs nor deer could see colour at night. It was all a pale greyscale shade… but the panda's muzzle was brilliantly white, easy to pick up.
Easier still, though, were those two pools of purple and gold where Cashmere's blue eyes had been. And up close… oh, they were even more beautiful than before… even deeper… the dog-deer was right up close to the pretty eyes, but they wanted to get even closer, to climb into the colours and drown within them…
Just as Taylor felt the smile start to come to their face, they clenched their eyes shut and tried to pull away. Ignoring the addictive tickle behind their eyes, they leapt out of their sandals like a lizard shedding their tail, and turned to run - only to run face-first into a clothesline of coils.
Plus there was the tail around their ankle, still exploring… it wove around Taylor's thick toes and fiddled with their toeclaws.
"Ah ah ah!" Cashmere giggled, their voice rising to a patronising pitch. "Taaaay-lor~! C'mon, look at me… don't resissst, didn't you enjoy the following these eyssss of mine thisss far?"
Taylor's left eye was quicker to betray them. The eyelid opened just a crack, enough for the dam to burst and the colours to pour in. It shot right open. Taylor's tail started wagging faster, even as a despairing look came over the dog-deer's face. They shook their head, tried to close their eye, but it just wouldn't budge. Not when it was the sole source of that intense pleasure, the colours ramming and squishing their way into their mind and turning it to something like candyfloss…
"W-wait, pl-please…" Taylor croaked, as their tongue lolled out of the corner of their mouth. "… C-cah…Cashmmmere…?"
"Taaaay-lor~ open that other eye for me-"
The collie's other eye shot open like it was spring-loaded, and thick rings of purple and gold were already winding their way through. Taylor's body, still twisted as if they were trying to run, easily melting into a more relaxed posture. They leaned closer to the colours…
And the colours pulled away, the naga rising up to reveal what they had from the waist down a- long ebony snake body, with belly-scales as pearly white as their face.
The naga-panda shrugged off the old shirt and threw it aside, making a slightly salacious show of removing their only garment. Their soft orange-furred tummy was fully on display, a soft pillow for Taylor to rest their snout against as they stared.

And stare they did, panting happily, getting up onto their tiptoes to try and get closer to the decadent purple, the warming gold, the purple, the gold, the purplegoldpurplegoldpurplegold…!
Taylor's eyelids twitched, their toes twisted (especially the tickled one) and their body felt like it was going to shake apart, or burst open, like a shook soda can, or like he was about to have a really intensely satisfying sneeze, or, or…!
PING~!
The dog-deer made a cute little barking as they suddenly went stiff, staring right into space, directly into the panda's stomach.
"Tss-hss-hss-hss…" Cashmere snickered, blinking the colours out of their eyes and slowly gliding behind the deer. One hand played with their smooth, the other rubbed their softening shoulder.
"I wasn't lying, by the way… I'm not a predator, not in that ssssenssse… I jussst want sssome company, is all."
They took hold of Taylor's still wagging tail and gave it a tug - Taylor yelped, pleased.
"And cutiesss like you don't come 'round often…" the naga did another revolution around their 'prey', another length of thick body-coil keeping their legs together and their body upright. They also took the liberty of grabbing Taylor's red plaid shirt and pulling it off, just so they could tie the sleeves around their neck like a prep with a sweater.
Taylor just wagged and stared, and thought of nothing but colour.
The naga examined the discarded footwear on the ground.
"You like your flip-flops, don't ya? Cute, cute… what if I could get you walking on something even ssssofter, ssspringier~?"
The naga was back at Taylor's front again. Their eyes swirled again.
"Taaaay-lor~?"
"Rrrufh?" Taylor's eyes pulsed faster, and they stared excitedly into their new friend's deep pretty eyes. Cashmere's tail unwound from Taylor's ankle, and slid beneath both of his paws. The thin tapered tip passed, and the scaly sensation on the dog-deer's sensitive feet grew thicker and more pronounced…
"How tired are your paws? Think we can go for a li'l walk~?"
The dog-deer's paws didn't touch the ground for the rest of that night.
Each step they took was cushioned by a track of smooth scales over thick, firm, yet pliant muscle. The coils rose to meet them with each and every step. They didn't notice when they stepped off of a length of coil and onto a new one. It was a perpetual forward march in place. The whole time, the naga-panda was hissing out a maliciously mischievous chuckle. Now and again, Taylor's weight pressed down hard on a stiff bit, and the loud crack of one of the naga's hundreds of vertebrae was accompanied by a relieved moan. Taylor didn't even flinch when that happened… they just kept marching. Even as they were lifted higher, each step felt like a descending one, the cushioned squish pulling them even deeper into a vortex of purplegold pleasure…

"That'ssss the ssstuff…~" Cashmere sighed with bliss. They had draped themself on a tree branch above Taylor's little performance, their coils still dancing beneath Taylor's marching paws. That footwear had kept this cute thing's paws silky soft. The weight, the texture, made the whole thing quiver beneath Taylor's metronomic stomp-stomp-stomping.
"Mmfh~" Cashmere's tongue flitted out at the air, and they giggled almost girlishly. The naga kept a careful eye out for the telltale signs of the dog starting to tire - their tongue hanging out, their pace getting uneven - and made sure that when they faltered and fell, they'd drop right into a nice little hanging hammock of coils…
Taylor whined softly. Cashmere felt the dog's body tip off of the coils. And then… plop. The tree shook a little from the extra weight, but the naga held their toy firm. They expertly rolled Taylor up into a tight burrito of coils, and hoisted them up with a grunt. Only Taylor's swirly-eyed, grinning head and wriggling toes were sticking out. They couldn't have looked cosier…
Cashmere's tongue tingled and their belly warmed at the thought of all the fun the two would have together.
It was nice to have some pleasant company.
