A room full of faces
And they’re all
                                     Smiling.

Smiles without depth
               nor love
Devoid of passion, of connection
No substance to be found

But smiles nonetheless

Smiles of “like”
                of tolerance
Smiles that take up space
Giving nothing back

But smiles nonetheless

Smiles that say:
                be grateful
Thank us for our empty time
Charity shouldn’t go unnoticed

But smiles nonetheless

Smiles everywhere
                 so. many. 
Drowning in these endless smiles
Suffocating on the lies
Lost in the falseness
Alone
            and all 
                         I can do
                                        is 
                                                    Smile
