This painting was inspired by a photo of my partner as well. She insisted on wearing a pink beret, which gave her a slightly impish look, emphasized by the expression on her face. The background was taken from a picture of Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe, complete with a Fish Eagle flying in the sky above. The foreground is my own creation, and symbolizes fruifulness and life.
