The Dragon Within

The moon hung like a silver blade over the war-torn land, casting shadows long enough to swallow entire armies. From the smoking ruins of the temple, a single figure emerged—her eyes burning with an ethereal blue light. Her name was Kaede, once a loyal samurai of the fallen Shirokawa clan. Tonight, she was something more.
Bound to her soul was Seiryū, the Azure Dragon, an ancient spirit of vengeance and storms. The pact had been sealed in blood when Kaede’s clan fell to treachery. In exchange for her humanity, she gained his fury. The cost? Her soul burned with his endless hunger for justice.
Her katana, once mere steel, now blazed with cerulean flames as the dragon coiled around her, its spectral body roaring silently against the midnight sky. Every swing of her blade tore through air and shadow alike, igniting the battlefield in blue fire. Samurai turned to ash before they could even scream.
“Kaede,” the dragon’s voice rumbled inside her mind, deep and commanding, “their blood will not be enough. The one who betrayed you still lives.”
She raised her blade high, the heavens trembling with her wrath. “Then we hunt,” she whispered, her voice colder than the steel she wielded.
As her enemies gathered in fear, the warrior and her dragon spirit descended upon them—a storm of steel and azure flames, unstoppable and divine.
