There is a story I've been developing for the last couple of years now called: The Red Empress. It's a crossover story featuring One Piece, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and The Seven Deadly Sins. TRE is about Ren Koukogo (Kogo for short), and her younger brother, Ren Koushiro, the children of Ren Kouen and Princess Azula.
The Red Empress takes place YEARS after Luffy becomes King of the Pirates. And it follows the same plot of SDS, only different. Not only is the Demon Clan released from the Coffin of Eternal Darkness, the Demon King is also free. However, he uses Magoi Reverse Tools (the same ones Aladdin and Titus used, Magi spoilers) to stay in the world and to keep it from getting destroyed from the immense power he wields.
After leaving behind a horrified Hendrickson, the Demon Clan invades the Kou Empire, and when some lesser Demons try to attack one of Kogo's cousins, Ren Kouli, Kogo shouted for them to get away from her cousin, unleashing a wave of Conqueror's Haki. Yes, Kogo has Conqueror's Haki. Unfortunately, the Demon King just so happens to LOVE devouring the souls of individuals who have Conqueror's Haki. He orders his Commandments to bring Kogo's soul to him, but Kouen and Azula were having none of that. Kogo, Koushiro, their cousins, and the rest of the children who live in the palace flee the country along with their pets.
Once they're far from the Kou Empire, all of the children encounter the Straw Hat pirates. And that's about what kicks off the story.
