Rescuing Krampus - Bonus Epilogue

The book is supposed to end with the first epilogue, and I personally like that it ends like that, but I’m aware it might be a bit bittersweet still for some people, so I wrote a bonus epilogue with some more fluff and sweet moments for those who want a more secure ending.

Word Count:  2.3K words
Note: This chapter is the only one on this platform that was updated with the edited version. The rest of the chapters that are posted here are old, unedited versions (from the Serial edition).
General Book Content Warnings: blood, violence, injuries, ableism, blankets of animal furs (sorry animal lovers), brief mention of smoking cigarettes (side character), explicit sexual content, a great amount of body fluids, cum play, orgasm denial/edging, knotting, abnormally long tongue used during sex, (brief) bondage, rough-ish sex, profanities, happy but still kind of bittersweet ending.

Bonus Epilogue: Meeting Kilean - Naomi

2 years later
The scent of peaches followed Naomi after her shower as she looked for something to change into.
In a few hours, Naomi would be going to her mother’s house to have lunch with her family. With everyone so busy with their lives and jobs, it was a miracle that they had found a day where all siblings could come together. Their mother and grandma had been complaining about missing them for a while now, so they didn’t really have a choice—they had to make time one way or another.
Since it was too early to leave, Naomi chose something comfortable, planning to change again later to go out. She might even have time to watch a couple of episodes of the latest TV show she had recently started.
As Naomi reached for the remote on the couch, she stopped in her tracks as her doorbell rang. She wasn’t expecting anyone, but maybe it was a courier?
She opened the door to a middle-aged white man in front of her. He was pretty tall, looking to be around six foot five, with a broad build and a round stomach.
“What can I do for you?” Naomi asked, slightly confused.
He was wearing a semi-formal black suit with no tie—he definitely didn’t look like a courier.
Long salt-and-pepper hair was tied in a low bun, a layer of wavy locks falling down his shoulders. A mostly grey beard decorated his round face. He was incredibly attractive—Naomi was entirely too sure she’d never seen him before, or she knew she would have remembered him. Yet, despite knowing they had never met, he seemed familiar.
As she looked into his honey brown eyes, something felt off. Naomi frowned as she stared at the man, studying him. He kept silent and looked back at her, stiff and patient.
Those eyes…
The color was different, yet they reminded her of a man she loved. There was recognition in the way he looked at her, too, and a not-so-subtly-hidden layer of what seemed like affection.
Naomi’s breath caught, her eyes widening a little.
It can’t be… right?
“Kilean?” she quietly asked, hesitant.
His lips twitched, a corner slipping out his control and pulling upwards. The restrained grin was a bit awkward, and again, familiar.
Naomi’s voice was barely louder than a whisper, goosebumps spreading all over her. “Is it really you?”
Finally, he nodded. “I’m home.”
Naomi launched herself to wrap her arms around his shoulders. Kilean caught her, grabbing her by the waist and pulling her up until her legs wrapped around his body and her face nuzzled into his neck. He held her tight, burying his face in her hair.
“It’s you,” Naomi whispered, voice trembling. “You’re here.”
He squeezed her a bit more, as if worried she’d slip away, then eventually put her down. Naomi quickly grabbed his wrist and pulled him inside her apartment.
Kilean’s eyes were soft and teary as he looked at her, a small smile stretching his lips.
“Why do you look human?” Naomi asked, confused yet fascinated by the familiarity of his current form. “Were you able to do this before, too? Or does this mean something changed?”
The spark appeared in his eyes before he even replied.
“Something changed,” Kilean confirmed.
Naomi hesitated, trying not to get emotional. But when she spoke again, her voice was still quiet and shaky. “A good change?”
Kilean nodded, his expression softening. Her eyes became watery and instantly, tears began falling down her face. His gentle hand wiped them away, brushing a thumb over her cheek.
“I’ll never be able to be fully yours, but I have the freedom to be with you now,” he clarified. “I can come and go whenever I want. I can build a life with you—if you still want me.”
“What the fuck kind of question is that?” she asked, her tone joking and annoyed. “I wouldn’t have waited over a decade if I didn’t see a future with you.”
The corner of his lip twitched. “Just checking.”
“Don’t play with me, it’s a sensitive moment.”
With a soft smile, Kilean leaned down to press his forehead against hers, his hand still caressing her face.
“I’m sorry it took so long,” he whispered. “But thank you for waiting for me.”
“Thank you for keeping your promise.”
Naomi’s arms wrapped around his broad shoulders again and she shut her eyes to enjoy their proximity. While his human form was smaller than his krampus form, he felt recognizable even without looking at him. His big, strong, and plump body was still the same, and Naomi smiled at the thought.
Without warning, Kilean wrapped his hands around her soft waist and picked her up. Naomi let out a surprised screech, but let him manhandle her without complaint. He approached her couch and laid down on his back, pulling her over him.
“Comfortable?” she asked him, amused.
“Very much.”
She reached out with a hand to brush his greying beard, her brain in conflict over the two different images she had of him.
“Are you still a demon?”
“I am.”
“Is this your new appearance?” Naomi continued, a hint of worry in her voice. “Or can you change however you want?”
He was still attractive—that was a fact—but his krampus form was something else entirely, an otherworldly type of beauty. She’d be okay if Kilean looked like a human for the rest of his life, but Naomi would be lying if she said she wouldn’t be a tiny bit disappointed.
Instead of answering her, Kilean casually changed his body. Under her, his form grew bigger and furry, ears stretching into points and horns coming out of his head.
Naomi let out a relieved breath, chuckling softly.
“Since I’m not a krampus anymore, I was given the ability to change my appearance,” he explained. “I liked the way I looked so I kept that, but at least with this new power, I can also appear in front of humans.”
Naomi leaned forward, pressing a quick peck on his lips. “That’s pretty handy.”
Kilean’s tongue passed over his lips, his gaze staring at her mouth. Naomi grinned at the sight, realizing he likely didn’t notice he was doing it.
“Did you miss me?” she asked, tone a little teasing.
“Terribly.”
Knowing he wasn’t going to do it himself, Naomi leaned forward again and properly kissed him. As their lips danced together, his hands explored her back, and hips, and ass. His touch was light, as if he was simply dosing himself with small parts of her, as to not take too much in one go.
Then, reality hit Naomi all at once and she quickly pulled back, holding herself up with her arms to look at him. Kilean stared at her, eyes wide.
Wait. This means I’ll get to do this more often,” Naomi stated, incredulous. “I’ll get to see you regularly. Kiss you, hold you, very frequently.”
Kilean shoulders relaxed again, his face softening. “Yes. You’ll have me all to yourself very frequently.”
“Can I finally tell people about you?”
Everyone in her life knew Naomi had someone dear to her, who she’d been on and off with for years. However, she had never shared any details about their relationship, since she couldn’t risk exposing who he was. But now, if he could finally be with her, then they wouldn’t have to hide anymore. At least, not hide everything.
Kilean nodded.
“I’ve noticed that humans put a lot of importance on labels,” he cautiously started. “In all these years, we never defined our bond. It never felt like we had to, because we understood each other perfectly. But if I’m to join you in the human world, I guess we’d need an official title.”
Kilean was right. Their hearts spoke to each other so perfectly that they never had to define anything. They knew how much they cared for each other, and the commitment they put an effort into. Over a decade flew by without them even thinking of labels, but for the society she lived in, they’d need to make some changes.
“Yeah, we probably would,” she agreed.
“Then I’ll be your husband,” Kilean said matter-of-factly.
Naomi opened her mouth to speak, then closed it again, pressing her lips together to hold back a smile. In the end, she decided to tease him instead of correcting him.
She raised her hand, showing it to him. “Ever seen a wife with no ring?”
Kilean’s hand wrapped around hers and a moment later, she felt the ring materializing around her finger. When she looked at their hands, both of them were wearing silver bands.
Naomi stared at them—he didn’t give her a ring with a gem, like engagement rings usually were, but immediately gave her a wedding band.
Kilean pulled her hand to his mouth, kissing over her ring.
“We can get the paperwork later,” he casually said.
Naomi still stared at him, mouth agape. At her silence, a frown slowly took over his face.
“Did I do something wrong?”
Naomi quickly shook her head. “No, I just wasn’t expecting it.”
“Husband is the highest rank, is it not?” Kilean asked. “I’d like to be your husband.”
A smile pulled at her lips. She leaned properly on him to hide her face in the crook of his neck, attempting to hide the blush spreading across her cheeks.
“You can be my husband, then,” she conceded.
Kilean’s arms wrapped around her body again, gentle hands caressing her back.
“I’m going to have lunch with my family today,” Naomi announced. “If you’re already up to being around humans, do you want to join?”
“I’d love to.”
There was something in his voice, a mix between genuine interest and a hesitance.
“Are you sure?” she checked.
Kilean hesitated for a moment. “I read that the meeting of a partner’s family is very important for humans. Getting their approval seems to be vital.”
Naomi pulled herself up again to look at him, an eyebrow slightly raised. She had seen him worried before, but this time was different. His eyes were usually sad when he was in that state of mind, but now his eyes were cautious, nervous.
“What happens if they don’t approve of me?” he asked, his gaze fixated on her nose as if too overwhelmed to look her in the eyes.
“Does my family’s approval really matter?” Naomi asked, genuinely curious to understand. “They will never know the real you, and they will never know our whole story. Even if they don’t like you—which I don’t think will happen—nothing they say will change my mind about you.”
“It matters,” he replied firmly. “They are your family. You care about them, so I want them to approve of me. If the people who know you best don’t think I’m good enough, it would feel disrespectful to ignore their opinion and continue like nothing happened.”
Naomi silently studied Kilean, his frown forming wrinkles on his forehead and his eyes restless, looking everywhere but her own.
“Do you plan on breaking up with me if they don’t like you?”
The lines on Kilean’s forehead deepened even more, giving him a very grumpy look. Naomi’s initial amusement at his expression was stifled immediately by his confused and sad gaze.
“I don’t want to,” he said.
“But would you do it?”
Kilean hesitated, looking away, almost ashamed. After a few moments of silence, he sighed.
“I wouldn’t,” he confessed. “But I would do my best to change their minds so that they eventually approve of me being with you.”
“Then it’s settled,” Naomi cheerfully said. “Just be yourself when you meet my family, and they’ll love you. And in the extremely rare chance that they’re not fully convinced, then we’ll work together to change their minds.”
“Together?”
“We have worked on this odd relationship for too long to give up so easily. And I definitely wouldn’t let you handle them alone.” Naomi grinned. “I know all their weak spots, after all.”
Kilean silently studied her, his gaze quickly jumping from one of her eyes to the other.
“You don’t need to worry,” she eventually continued, her tone serious but soft. “As long as you care about me and treat me well, my family won’t complain about who I choose to date. And I can guarantee, you treat me very, very well.”
He cupped her face, brushing his thumb over her cheek.
“I’m curious to meet them,” he admitted. “I want to know the people who raised you, and who were with you during the most important moments of your life.”
“They mean well, but they might be a bit chaotic at times,” Naomi said, fondness in her voice. “If they become too overwhelming, make sure to tell me.”
“If they’re like you, I’m sure I’ll love them.”
Naomi leaned to kiss him, lips softly brushing against each other. She felt Kilean’s mouth stretch in a smile and her own immediately followed the example. After so many years of knowing him, Naomi still felt giddy at his affection and interest.
“I’ve already taken a shower and don’t feel like getting sticky again so soon,” Naomi said. “Do you want to just cuddle and watch TV until it’s time to go?”
“You don’t have to ask.”
Grinning knowingly at Kilean, Naomi reached out to grab the remote and turned on the TV, then settled onto his body in a comfortable position, her head turned to the screen. As the show started, Kilean took one of her hands and started playing with her fingers.
His plump and strong form was so comfortable—the fur adding to the softness—and his body heat warmed up both her body and her heart. Despite the interesting show in front of her, Naomi’s eyes were getting heavy and her body relaxing more and more by the minute.
“If I fall asleep, make sure you wake me up in time, okay?”
“Okay.”
Naomi smiled brightly, happy with their current predicament and excited about the family lunch to come.
