Extremely Late | Marketable Maractus Merchandise P4/E

Incredibly sorry for being so late, but here's the ending to the series. Other comics shouldn't be nearly as long, so hopefully I don't take as long for them.

The source files for these comics will be temporarily available for free until the 14th where they'll go in their own post for the $2+ tiers. As a warning ahead of time, starting next month the various source files that are available publicly will also be moved to their own $2+ posts. Various thoughts on the series after the linebreak.

Edit: Forgot to move them, but now they're moved.

For convenience, I also uploaded the other images for the series.

P1:

This was the last image I made in Krita. After writing all the text for the last panel, I became extremely frustrated with using the program and decided to get CSP. CSP is almost a 100% improvement, but I do miss some minor features from Krita like the extra Fx options and the mouse stabilizer.

Anyway, I wanted to give the impression that the main character is a bit of an idiot, so he has a lot of spyware-like toolbars on his browser and an extreme amount of spam in his email that he can't be bothered to delete. The "P" tabs are all Pixiv tabs.

For the other options that didn't win the poll, the general idea was going to be:

Maractus Maneuvers: A regular Maractus transformation while exercising to the DVD.

Maractus Inflatable: This was probably going to be an inanimate transformation. An inflatable air valve attaches to him in a similar manner to the plush.

Maractus Costume: This was definitely going to be an inanimate transformation. Also would have happened in a very similar manner to the plush.

The choices that didn't have an icon were on purpose (not because I didn't feel like drawing them, or anything, I swear.) since he was going to become the product in question.

P2:

The winner of the poll was the "Jumbo Plush", so that was the end result. Keeping up with the main character's low INT, he only really cared about his shirt being destroyed. I got an excuse to use "pomf", so I took it. Throughout the series I was very inconsistent in body part sizes, lol.

P3:

I don't really have much to say on this one. He really likes Maractus so he tries his best to buy products that match its colors if he can't find a Maractus-Product equivalent. One of the shampoo bottles is based off the L'Oreal Kids bottles, the ? bubble is supposed to reference the game "Hollow Knight", but it's a Maractus so he's wondering if he's hollow on the inside, and the inverted colors for the last panel is a reference to the game "Zero Time Dilemma" which is one of the most disappointing "3rd entry" games I've played along with Gunvolt 3. (They both have dropped plot points and other things, but this is about Maractus, not complaining about video games.)

The poll result was "Yes", so I went for the "Bad End" route. If the result was "No", then the plan was to make him go to his computer and become a streamer for a short period of time before he gets taken away by some "Men in Black". Neither option is really a "Good End", but at least in that one he doesn't go crazy.

P4:

The general idea is once you pull down the zipper, you gain an extreme desire to put things inside your body (pulling it back up would not get rid of this effect), and the more things you put inside yourself, the more "corrupted" you become. In his case, anything that would be put inside him would become a maractus themed plush. I didn't really have much in mind for product placement this time, so I went with canned food and some magnets. The "Moving to..." text is a vague reference to one of the Megaman X games on the Playstation.

PE:

This comic was going on for a long time, so I wanted to make the epilogue shorter. Basically after a point, he became so corrupted that he could start turning other things into Maractus products without having to actually fully put them inside. I'd like to imagine that after being put in a cell for a while he comes to his senses, though he still has the urge to put things inside him to make more products.

I wanted the area to kind of look like an apartment, but as it is it could probably pass as a large house, I guess. I actually finished this part way before P4 and posted it early. I couldn't resist the urge to make him say the line his little desktop assistant said in P1.
