"GOOD NEWS: I OFFICIALLY GRADUATED FROM SPEECH THERAPY TODAY 🥹🎉 Now I only have to schedule appointments/call if I'm having long term vocal issues that won't go away on their own, request steroids if I have long term swelling for some reason, etc!Â
I still have to take it easy for now since my voice is in the settling phase. My folds still aren't "normal" yet, so for now, recording sessions WILL tire me out veryyy easily when I'm done compared to before I got nodules when my folds were normal. My speech therapist said any time I record, I should at minimum take a 4-7 day break after to give myself enough time to recover from swelling and avoid re-injuring myself.Â
Eventually my folds will settle and strengthen over time around a year post op (April 2026) or a little while after, so this isn't a permanent thing, just a "for now" thing! This means I won't be doing anything crazy like pumping out a bajillion monthly audios or anything like that for a while, but I do want to aim for 1-2 audios a month and go from there as my voice tolerates it and then slowly increase.Â

This means I'll finally be poating audios on here after making this page over a year ago 😅 I'm looking forward to not having restrictions or limits though 🩷 It'll definitely be a big change to get used to writing without filtering myself but I'm excited!
