State of Alarm


 The alarm had been going for some time. Whoever had gotten into the facility hadn't been discovered yet, and didn't seem to be in any hurry to leave.

Khin Kyi had infiltrated Mistress Xiu's Academy for Hopelessly Homicidal Assassins some months before, and though her work was often curtailed to keep her cover intact, she knew an opportunity when she saw it. The guards would be watching out for the intruder, and trouble Khin caused--as long as she wasn't spotted--would be blamed on that same intruder.

Now was the perfect time to do a bit of work. She hadn't found the archive rooms yet, and the allure of finding more details on the activities of Mistress Xiu and her global cabal of trained assassin co-eds was more than she could ignore...
