Kuchi - candy surprise (Halloween 2019)
Nov 5, 2019
A slightly belated Happy Halloween to you all! And this year, we have... Kuchi and Ruri! Both in the midst of their celebrations.
...Well, Ruri is in the midst of her own celebrations, and Kuchi is seeming like she's about to put Ruri in the midst of hers. I'm sure Ruri won't mind. Probably.

I'm sorely tempted to write a bit more of a blurb for this one later, a short story of sorts. Not sure if it'll actually happen, but I'll be sure to edit it into here if I do! A bit of background on why exactly Ruri is tiny-sized in this situation, and why Kuchi is- ...well actually there's no need to explain why Kuchi is doing anything here, that much is probably pretty self-explanatory. (she hungry)
edit: the (very) short story!

It was hard to stay annoyed at it, being shrunken without warning. Really, it was par for the course when visiting Lissa, and in hindsight Ruri knew she should have seen it coming. She'd been distracted by this being an invitation to a Halloween party; not a day Ruri had expected to find being celebrated in Paeratopa, much less by the paerans themselves, but in a way it made sense. Why wouldn't they be excited by the concept of a day in which people dressed up and ate far too much candy? Granted, she suspected they were glossing over... basically everything else that made Halloween Halloween, but how could she tell them they were 'doing it wrong'.
Certainly not after Lissa's idea of a peace offering came in the form of a house-sized bowl of colored candies, an offering that almost - almost - made up for the whole unexpected shrinking. She could make a bigger fuss about it later, maybe, after just... just indulging a little bit...
Sure, actually eating any of the candies was a challenge in and of itself. But Ruri was not one to turn down a challenge, especially not one involving-
"...Candy."
Ruri felt the color drain from her face at the sound of that voice directly behind her, the sudden warmth and humidity of breath at the back of her neck.
"No. No! This is for me, Kuchi! Go get your own-" Ruri's eyes went wide as the only thing she saw when she turned around was the sight of that giant tongue dragging across lips, voice faltering as she hurriedly changed her approach. "O-Okay just a handful, but that's-!" Words that fell on deaf ears as they turned to little more than a shrill squeak, Kuchi's gleeful grin filling the tiny girl's vision as her world was abruptly lifted and upended into a cascade of colorful sweetness.
