Hello there my fellow Lostians! I'd like to introduce you to the first of Malice's companions, Cheshire Grimace!
She stems from the Catavian Clan, one of the five Great Beast Clans of the Twin Wonderlands with their residence snuggled on the right-most side.
Saved by the Light Bringer, Alice... she now serves as both her loyal servant and friend, vowing to protect her from any who may do her harm similar to Malice herself... though not nearly as serious and temperamental.
Combat wise, Cheshire is a prep-based attacker that deals burst damage to her enemies, but it takes some time for her to set up said damage. She also naturally has higher evasion than most due to being a Catavian, one of the most agile species within the Twin Wonderlands. But due to her small frame, she has very low endurance.
Her natural Sigil is actually that of the lost Sigil of Darkness. However, due to the source of said Sigil being deceased, she is unable to naturally draw any of the host's power... so she does so artificially thanks to an artifact that she "borrowed" from a Catavian treasury known as the Sewed Nine.
Greater Astral Artifact Snippet
Greater Astrals are able to put a piece of their very being into objects, whether that be a pocket mirror or an armament of old... though this comes at a cost. While a Greater Astral can easily give a portion of their power to another without much issue, giving an inanimate object a portion of their power is to give it life... and not only that, but severing it from yourself.
To grant one power that is already of the living is one thing, and the connection remains since they are already of the living and become apart of the Sigil host/hostess in question, but to grant power to a weapon or the deceased requires a Greater Astral to give up a part of themselves, a part of themselves that they can never get back through any means. The Traverser demands it, and even the Gods, inner and outer, must obey this rule. Because no one within this world is above His decree, not even the seemingly immortal.
One cannot create life without losing a portion of themselves, for that would disrupt the balance of life itself. To give life without consequence would lead to a pale future, and so The Traverser ensures that said system is enforced, for He can see all because He is all. For He is the one who creates, life's administrator. No amount of research has lead to any way to loophole this system, yet His existence is a mystery in itself. There are many theories, but nothing concrete has been globally acknowledged. Those of the living cannot create life.
