Spoors: Protection A concept that should've been completed a long time ago. Redid the whole perspective, did some experimenting with my monochrome style, and fixed up the hyena features on Zeke that I noticed were a little off. Hope you guys like it!
Now to explain about this concept... Ruby learned that Zeke became overprotective when they started their teenager years, which was ironic to how he wasn't before those years when he was confident in her to protect herself while he watched impressed from afar. Her friends would claim that he and many males/testosterone-driven ones were likely going through some biological stage, giving them that instinct to protect and claim females or love interests. She didn't doubt that fact herself when she found it strange when Zeke became more gentle than playfully rough around her, but was surprised he never attempted to hound for her.
Being close friends for so long, he's always respected her boundaries and ensured her safety around those that she interacted, even going so far as to snarling at those who dared to look at her way while he noticed. He felt worried that Ruby would fall prey to those that could take advantage of her, because he believed that she didn't know what to expect when she became a woman, since she was more of a tomboy, and her lack of knowledge would made her vulnerable.
In a neighborhood slowly changing into a ghetto and families raising ignorant and irresponsible generation of children, he felt it wouldn't be safe for someone like Ruby and needed the protection. Once he bared those teeth every time and even up to their present day, she was always scared of seeing them, even though she was the one being protected behind them. To her, it was as though she was seeing a whole different person than who she used to know.
