Chrysalis, wearing Cadence's perfect face, grinned quietly to herself as princess Celestia droned on about love and nonsense. To anyone watching they'd think she was just excited to finally be here, on her wedding day with her groom, and they'd be partly right.
Not only was he plan coming to fruition in excellent perfection, but thanks to the illusion spell she'd casted on herself no one could see the most diabolical aspect of her plan - her belly protruded out obscenely from her dress, bloated beyond belief with the real Cadence and Twilight Sparkle.
Originally she'd planned to leave them in the Canterlot caverns, but she couldn't risk them wising up and escaping. She needed to be able to keep an eye on them constantly. So, devouring them seemed like the next best option to keep them subdued and quiet.
After all, no one should ever outshine the bride on her special day.

upon rewatch and reconsideration, The Canterlot Wedding P2 is most def my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE EPISODE IN ALL OF THE 9 SEASONS
EVERYTHING IS SO PERFECTLY EXECUTED
ALL THE BUILD UP FROM P1 COUPLED WITH THE REVEAL OF THE REAL CADENCE IN THE CANTELOT CAVERNS, THE ABSOLUTE BANGER OF A SONG THAT IS THIS DAY ARIA (which is in actuality my #1 fave mlp song) AND THEN THE INCREDIBLE REVEAL OF CHRYSALIS
GOOD GOD IS THIS EP SIMPLY PERFECTION IN A BOTTLE
also, i think the lips on the chrissye-cadence make her look very bimbo-fied, so....should i make bimbofication characters? im kinda into how this came out and i'd be very willing to give it a try
