2024 Subscribestar Changes

Please note: this is a direct copypaste from the Inkbunny journal. Some of this won't make sense in context to people on subscribed on here, it doesn't read correctly, but it's worth pinning anyways.

This is nothing major but I’d recommend reading it anyway, regardless of if you’re in the Subscribestar or not.

I need to make some changes to the Subscribestar, however, none of these will be detrimental changes. I think people should be rewarded for supporting me, not punished with raising prices (enough things are skyrocketing in price anyways.) My Subscribestar has remained the same price since 2019 (actually I dropped the price in late 2020)

I won’t be taking anything away anything either. Everything that you get in your current tier, you’ll continue to get.

The biggest thing is that I want to be posting there before the public posts go live, not after. I usually have to play catchup to get all of the files collected for the $8 tier especially. So not only do I flood people with notifications, but they’re getting fullres/source files for art that’s already been publicly available for days, even weeks.

So I’m changing that — all of my art will go up on Subscribestar first. There’s not going to be a set ‘time delay’ or any sort of ‘paywall’ for people not on the Subscribestar, I just need to prioritize them more. Everything except unfinished/wip files will be made public, just like always.

I am not paywalling anything — nor do I ever intend to. My philosophy for the Subscribestar and services like that is that it operates as a ‘tip jar with perks,’ it’s not designed to keep my art away from the public, who I quite like sharing it with.

If you’re curious about the Subscribestar, you can check it out here. I recommend the $3 tier to most as it gets you, at this point, quite a large stash of fullres, unwatermarked files.

And if you want to subscribe once, download your favorite files and unsubscribe, that’s fine by me. Truthfully, I’d do the same thing if I just wanted some fullres’s. There’s no ‘trust period’ so you can access everything right away.

Anyways, that’s everything! Not much is changing, but if you wanna see my art a little early, my Subscribestar might be worth looking into.
