Now Available - Patch 1.32.2 for Bizarre Battles

Yay!  Get it here (24Mb compressed .rar file):
[EDIT:  SKIP THIS PATCH IN FAVOR OF PATCH 1.32.3.  PATCH DETAILS ARE THE SAME.]

Patch 1.32.2 consists of only updated .exe files, and requires the underlying Version 1.32 to work properly.  After decompressing, place the four .exe files in your main Bizarre Battles 1.32 folder.  You may then delete the similarly-named older .exe files.  No other game files are affected and any existing data will remain as before.

As usual, this patch will remain exclusive to paying members for 30 days.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Patch 1.32.2 is focused on bug fixes (numerous) and interface improvements to make the game more user-friendly.

[1] SCALABLE WINDOWED MODE
At long last, I've figured out how to display the game in a scalable window.  The Intro Screen contains a new button to set Windowed Mode [Image 1 at A], although you will need to restart the game to get the windowed view [Image 2].  This screen can then be resized as usual for Windows-based programs.
[2] ADJUSTMENT OF CAMPAIGN LOSS TRIGGERS
The full campaign game can be lost by (among other things) either Commander Prestige going to zero, or by Army Morale going to zero.  However, at the start of a new campaign, you can now adjust whether you want to mitigate these loss triggers.

By clicking either button (Prestige and Morale are separately selectable), you can limit the downside of that trigger to a value of 50 points; that is, it cannot go lower or to zero.  [Image 3 at B.]  A value of 50 will still adversely impact your campaign, but it will no longer cause the campaign to be lost on that basis alone.

[3] INTERFACE UPGRADES TO BATTLE BUILDER
Battle Builder has received a major upgrade, intended to render this confusing screen more user-friendly.

[3A] Updated Layout.
The layout logic has been improved, and most buttons now contain a scroll-over pop-up.  As with the Command & Control module, the pop-ups can be disabled [Image 4 at C.]

[3B] Updated Map Selection.
Map Selection now has "dot" buttons, like weapons and clothing.  [Image 4 at D.]  This allows greater control over the frequency of various maps.  Thus, a three-dot map will appear three times as often as a one-dot map.

Several "select all" buttons also ease selection of various map types.

[3C] Additional Pop-Up Information.
The weapons buttons now contain details about specific weapons and weapon groupings.  [Image 4 at E.]  the clothing buttons have a place-holder image, which will be completed with the addition of graphics to the next game version.

[3D] Probability Bars.
The buttons now contain colored bars to reflect the probability of that option being selected.  [Image 4 at F.]  Thus, if your army consists of USC Cheer (3 dots selected) and UCLA Cheer (1 dot selected), then the bars will reflect that USC is three times as likely to be selected as UCLA.

[3E] Upgrade Navigation.
The navigation area has been restructured, and important pre-battle options (unlimited line-of-sight, God mode, and victory conditions) have been added.  Also, the campaign selection buttons now have a scroll-over that provides a summary of the status of that campaign.  [Image 4 at G.]

NEXT STEPS
My focus will be on the user-friendly guide to campaign creation, presenting the various game options to help players design and run a full campaign (the most fun way to play the game).  Also, I intend to include many new sounds and transition images that I've collected over the last year.

Finally, when I need a break, I will start roughing out the next update for Shoot the Girls.  This takes much less brain power (to program or to play), and is relaxing by comparison.
