False Idylls Progress Update
Hi guys, I want to share the progress and plans for the next version of False Idylls I’m working on. It’ll still take some time to write the plots. I’ll open Evette’s (the mother) route and increase the playable days to 7 in-game days, making it a complete chapter. I aim to release the update before this Christmas and will continue refining the art and sharing progress here during this period.
Besides telling more of the story, these are the major updates:
- The stats system won’t limit selectable options anymore. Instead, it will only affect certain parts of the dialogue (but not the gameplay itself) and will change based on your actions. I think this will make the game feel smoother.
- I’ve added an equipment system: you can now equip up to 8 items of any kind. These items will grant special skills in the “battle” system or unlock special events. They’re completely optional, the main plot will always have hints if an item is needed.
- For the battle system (as some of you might already suspect, there’s something weird going on in the house…): battles will use talk + action options. There will also be some “battles” between characters that lead to spicy scenes and increase intimacy~ (I don’t have new art for these yet, but I’ll try to add more.)
Finally, I can’t thank you all enough for waiting and supporting me this whole time. It’s been so much fun for me to plan everything, and I can’t wait to share it with you!
