Future plans and the itch.io policy changes
In the last few days, there has been a major change to itch.io's policy on adult content, affecting many developers who have their games hosted there. The games have been de-indexed, and they're now reviewing games to find those that violate the rules set by their payment processors.
So far, while my games have not been taken down, I don't believe they are safe either, especially with the themes I like to work with. I originally planned to finish Light, Gather, and Seek, and then continue development on my other two games (with possibly some small games for game jams or random ideas I get). I'll continue to upload on itch, but if they take down my games, then for the short-term, I will upload public releases here on SubscribeStar.
I suggest downloading your favorite games from itch as soon as possible while they're still up. It's sad to see the platform become like this, so if the time comes to find an alternate solution, I hope to figure things out by then.
