Progression Update...
Hello everyone, Monday already.
First, sickness is mostly gone but I'm still recuperating, so good news.
About "Trick or Sheou", I'm applying the finishing touch to everything then video edit it all together and it will be ready to release. Subscriber version will be released as soon as it is completed; public version, however, will be posted on the 31st of October.
I've gone a bit experimental with the Subscriber bonus and could use a re-rendering, but it was mostly for experimenting with new tools and techniques. I still think it is good enough for release.
As promised "ToS" has sound, mostly provided by OpenNSFW SFX. I've started to become quite efficient with sound, so maybe at some point I will add sound to my previous animation.
Now for a future note.
Small project (less or close to a minute) will be set to 4k resolution and anything larger than that will be set to HD 1080p.
Why that you may ask, well it's mostly due to technical limitations; even if I have a quite good rig, I'm doing my best to merge render speed and quality; but now we are at the point that any reduction in render time is a significant cost of quality. The only way for me to not take months rendering a major project often containing +10k frames is to reduce the native resolution.
For example, a single 4k frame takes around 3 minutes to render; a HD 1080p with the same setting takes 40 seconds sometimes less depending on the scene.
Translating that to a 20k frames project, with 4k we end up at 41 days of rendering when a 1080p only requires 9 days. Didn't really want to downgrade resolution but I have to be realistic here and I prefer that degree of transparency with you people.
I also worked on my next Cynder project, mostly adding new bones to the already existing Rig for better wings, tail, and facial control.
