Dev Log #12
Chapter 2 Progress
I've been getting a fair amount of work done on chapter 2 the last 2 weeks. I don't want to spoil anything, but from here on the chapter is going to start becoming very main plot heavy with a few moments to build rapport with some of the LIs. I said before that chapter 2 would be full-diving into the overall plot of the story, and I meant that.
There's also a few side characters that have been introduced now. Some of you in my discord server my have seen some of the characters already, but don't really know much about how they fit into the plot. All I can really say is that they will be story relevant throughout the rest of SotD. I also can't wait for you to meet a particular duo. I think most of you will really enjoy their personalities and how they work so well together.
Real Life
So, on the real life side of things. I haven't really had as much time as I'd like to work on development of SotD. For that, I apologize to everyone who is waiting for the next part of the story. I'm really hoping that things will die down in my life soon and I can get back to my regular, quick pace. I did make better progress this log cycle than I did in the last one though, and that makes me happy.
In other news, where I am is supposed to be getting hit with a pretty bad winter storm starting today. The last two times that this happened we were without electricity for 2 weeks for the first incident, and then the second time we were without for 6 days. I'm really hoping that doesn't happen, but the power infrastructure here is horrible. Obviously, if that happens, I won't be able to work on the game during that time...
Anyways, that's about it for now. I hope you all are doing well and living your best lives! Also, good luck to anyone else who might be caught in the path of this storm! Stay safe out there!

Dev Log #11
Chapter 2 Progress
"Only 10% in 2 weeks?!" Wait a minute, hold on! Let me explain. I finished 2 major action scenes which means lots of renders with little actual story progression. They've turned out phenomenal though, in my opinion, so it was worth the time sink.
The good news is, there's not much more action planned for the rest of the chapter until the end. I'd say these 2 scenes are easily the most time consuming part of the chapter to make, and things should be moving faster now that they're done.
Overall Development
The seasonal blues have been kind of rough for me, especially be swamped in so much work that I barely have free time, but I'm making the most of what I do get. I'm really satisfied with how this next chapter is turning out and can't wait to share it with all of you in the near future.
It's looking like I might have some more free time coming up in my life soon, so hopefully I can start getting back to my normal pace, but I don't want to make promises on something that is beyond my control. As always I'll continue to release regular dev logs and keep all of you updated on the development side of things.
Anyways, this is a short one. Lots to do and little time to do it, so I'll leave it here. Hope you are all doing well!

Happy New Year!
It's the beginning of a new year and a great time to reflect on what has been accomplished. I started this journey in order to tell a grand story that I've always wanted to tell, not expecting to get much recognition or build much of a following at all. Yet, here we all are!
For just a single chapter, the amount of people that have taken an interest and supported me in one way or another is absolutely mind-blowing to me! I can't thank you all enough for everything that you do! Every like, follow, donation, etc., makes me feel proud of what I'm doing and all the more eager to create more for all of you to experience.
Looking forward, I think I've finally found my pacing and hopefully that means I can keep a steady flow of content going out to all of you and also keep releases coming with some kind of consistency moving forward.
All of that said, and for the sake of clear communication with all of you, I am definitely not going to be able to get chapter 2 out in the time I had planned. I've always felt a bit pushed to give estimates on release times, and keep those times shorter rather than longer, because I thought quick updates were the way to go, and what people would want. I realize now, that was an error on my part. I will not mention anything about release times going forward until the release is ready, that way nobody feels scammed or lied to.
I'm going to listen to what the majority of you said in the poll and focus on making the updates the size that I want them to be rather than the time it takes to make it. Each update will be massive in comparison to most other AVNs and updates should never take longer than 6 months, but if they do, then so be it. Just know that I will always deliver a ton of content per update and I'll strive to constantly improve from one release to the next!
It's been a great year, and I hope that will continue moving forward. I've loved getting to chat with some of you on Discord, reading your comments and feedback, and seeing some chatter about SotD around the internet!
This year is going to be a big one for the game, I promise, and it's not going to stop there. So, happy new year to all! I can't wait for the next step in this journey! Much love to every single one of you!
