Dev Diary #217: New Update, New Events.

Hello everyone, welcome to the first dev diary for 0.5.1. The Shifting Moods update went rather swimmingly, which is always a good thing and I'm really happy that the post-release support period has been relatively short. Still, the 0.5.0 update was rather barren in terms of tangible content, with the new content mostly revolving around new consumables and a handful of other items with varying degrees of utility, so the natural order of progression for the following update is to add more content.

With this in mind, february was heavily focused on the "main NPCs" storylines, so I was running out of inspiration for those routes. But there are still plenty of areas that could benefit from my attentions, nominally side content (gregschart, minor NPCs, most jobs) and careers content (sewing, acting, dancing, HOE and homekeeping), which is great because that's exactly the plan according to the roadmap!  In this regard I will start with side content, as it will compensate players from all career paths for the lack of content in 0.5.0.

So what are the exact plans then? Well, I don't want to advance anything yet, but I've been looking through my ideas document and there are a few things that come to mind. As I work on the game, I tend to stockpile media for future content, write new ideas. Some of it is sorted, with names for future content, others are unsorted, ideas that felt like they could be good content. This is where I am currently combing through.

This being said, this is only the first day of work, so I will certainly have more for next week, so stay tuned!
