[Stable Build] FeralIsland_v0.15.174a.STABLE
FeralIsland_v0.15.174a.stable build release! You can download it instantly with the FERAL Supporter reward tier: Link

Patchnotes:

Features:
  • Added two 'inviting' mating stances that are triggered with a 70% chance. The idle animation stance does not allow mating and has a slightly longer duration while the mating invitation is more frequent.
  • NPCs now spawn with random unique creature skins and random genders.
  • Added a new animation to mounted NPC Felkin. 
  • Added a little grey bar to the FPS counter in the gallery, and changed the color to green to make it more readable.
  • Added a context sensitive UI tracking system that will show up when you are getting closer to creatures you can mate with.
  • Added three different states to the context sensitive UI system. In Range -> Blue, Spy glass , Mountable -> Yellow Exclamation Mark, Breeding -> Red heart. Keep in mind that you can only mount a creature that has the Yellow Exclamation Mark.
  • Added a new animation state to NPCs. There is now a 10% chance for NPCs to lay down.
  • Added a way to lay on the side and roll on your back, when you are laying down with ctrl, and press A or D. 
  • Added two new animations to the core game. One animation was already available in the gallery, called "belly rubs".
  • Added more variety to the Felkin by spawning some NPCs with exclusive chest floof. You can also select those in the character selection. 
  • Added a bunch of framework functions that determine between the different body parts of a creature. This makes is for example possible to later spawn different horns, tails, manes etc. on a creature.
  • Added a new asset variant to Gwyardon: He now has a scaled tail tip. 
  • Added a new asset variant to Kestrel: He now has a tail tuft.


Changes:
  • You can now only mount a Felkin NPC when it is 'inviting'.
  • Improved the readability of the main menu. 
  • Optimized the way the game handles Texture and creature selection changes. ( This is now not called every frame, per NPC).
  • Changed the timer until NPCs start to roam around to 0. They will now instantly start to walk when the island is loaded. Before this change, they where 'moon-walking' for a couple of seconds.
  • Slightly improved the way the balls are moving while running.
  • Improved the animation when a Felkin is laying on its side and on its back. There are also tweaks to the pivot point so its now centered.  
  • The ears now move slightly more while sprinting. 
  • Improved the focus of the camera in the core game. You can now also zoom in closer.
  • The camera in the character selection menu is now initialized farther away and you see the whole creature on load. The clipping distance also was modified and is now not clipping the manes when zooming back. 
  • Removed the tail tip from Shadow Vasov. 
  • The tails now sway a bit more but are overall slightly more rigid / realistic.


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed a bug which did not disable/enable the mounting colliders properly when a player was close to the mountable creature or device.
  • Fixed a bug in which the mounting trigger would cause a NullReference error in the character selection menu.
  • Fixed a bug which prevented exclusive Felkin skin NPCs from spawning. 
  • Fixed a bug which prevented some animator properties to be overwritten.
  • Fixed a bug which wrongly triggered the "IsMounted" state. 
  • Fixed a bug which prevented the mounted Felkin to stand still.
  • Fixed a bug in which the wrong animator was called by a wrong script link.
  • Fixed a bug which statistically spawned more Darius NPC Felkin, because he was the default skin if something goes wrong. NPCs spawn more evenly now. 
  • Fixed a bug which spawned the wrong NPC gender.
  • Fixed a bug which prevented mounted NPCs from moving again. 
  • Fixed a bug which rotated the NPCs randomly after being mounted.
  • Fixed a bug which broke the character selection, when ctrl was pressed. 
  • Fixed a bug which deformed the balls, caused by missing bone flags in the rig mask. 
  • Fixed a bug which would deform the ears when laying to the right side.
  • Fixed the logical errors with the animator when a creature sprawls and rolls around. I also removed the exit time for some animations.
  • Fixed a bug which prevented the ctrl + R command to randomize the player spawn from working.

Finished integrating the dynamic pen* system to FeralIsland. You can check it out in the gallery. This system works in VR & normal mode.

Features:
- Added a sitting animation that is triggered after idling for some time.
- Added toggled mounting to the game. If you hold the left mouse button or vr grip for 3 seconds, mounting will be toggled on. If you click/grip again the toggle will be released.
- Added tooltips for rolling and toggled mounting.

Bugfixes:
- Fixed the orientation of the right eye and the eye brow  animations of the Felkin in the island. It looked a bit off.

- The camera is now following the Felkins better and is now better responding to direction changes. 
- The animation when pouncing a mountable Felkin is now interpolated.

Changes:
- Some minor spine animator and offset position improvements. 
- Replaced the last standing red nose Felkin NPC from the island. (This feature may come back in the future. :>)

Bugfixes:
- Fixed a bug in which the mounted Felkin NPC would still play the mounting animation even though the player Felkin would lay on the ground. 
- The animation when the player Felkin is laying on its back is now looping correctly. 
- Fixed a bug in which the player Felkin was stuck in the mounting animation. 
- Fixed a bug in which the mounting flag was set to true once the scene was loaded. 
- Fixed a bug in which the camera was stuck when a scenario was selected in the gallery.

[Public Release] FeralIsland_v0.15.164a.PB

This are the patch-notes of the free November update for FeralIsland. Patchnotes:
Features:
  • Added breeding functionality to the free roaming Felkin NPC. You can follow the NPCs and mount them from behind.
  • Added dynamic pen* to the dergn toy and added an improved and more detailed toy version to the gallery.
  • Added a breeding device model to the island core game. 
  • Added a new shortcut (ctrl + R) to the island in the core game that allows you to respawn as a random Felkin. Also added a new UI tooltip for this button shortcut.
  • Added collision detection to the breeding device in the island and worked on the collision logic/rig for future stuff. 
  • Added a progression menu to the "Breeding Device" scenario in the gallery. The Felkin now mounts the device if you click the progression arrows. 
  • Added a PoV camera anchor to the "Breeding Device" scenario. You can now switch into the PoV of the mounting Felkin.
  • Added a baked NavMesh to the island which will allow creatures to better navigate through the island and avoid obstacles. The obstacle avoiding creature behavior is not active, though.
  • The breeding device in the core game is now mountable. Selected female Felkin can dry hump the device too.
  • Added a tool-tip for how to mount and how to excite your Felkin. 
  • Added an teasing Felkin to the core game next to the breeding device.
  • Added two new animations to the core game: mount, unmount. This is for a smoother mounting animation interpolation. The mounting animation from the recent versions is still in use and now looped.


Changes:
  • Cleaned the creature spawning code of the core game and removed, improved and fixed a lot of old functions. 
  • Overhauled creature spawning back-end parts that will allow better control over creature spawning in the future.
  • In the "Breeding Device" scenario in the gallery you can now no longer let the Felkin mount the breeding device by pressing shift.
  • Rebuild and cleaned parts of the island prefabs.
  • Updated the Spine Animator, Groundfitter and the LookAt Animator. 
  • Slightly tweaked the Spine Animator behavior to improve the creature turning rotation.
  • The animation interpolation between walking to running is now not using an exit time offset.
  • Modified the bone mask of the Felkin rig to better interpolate the animated thigh bones, when the Felkin mounts the breeding device.
  • Improved the overall mounting interaction with the breeding device. For example you can now only mount while stationary or walking slow. 
  • Added slightly more gloss and detail to the fur in the Core game to make it appear more like the fur in the character selection menu. 
  • Re-enabled the LOD System on the island. This greatly increases the FPS. This was a mistake by me some builds ago, sorry for that!


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed a bug which resulted into the animator not responding after respawning. 
  • Fixed a bug which caused materials loaded incorrectly after respawning.
  • Fixed an instance which led to a material and texture related error when the "Breeding Device" scenario was selected.
  • Fixed an Instantiating error that was related to prefab parenting. 
  • Fixed a bug in which the Felkin rig would break if you would press ctrl while running.
  • Fixed an issue that appeared in 155, that prevented female Felkin from being displayed in the FeralIsland selection menu.
  • Fixed a bug which displaced the manes in the selection menu.
  • Fixed an instance where breeding animation was interrupted or could interrupt unintentionally. 
  • Fixed an instance where breeding animation was in the wrong order and looped incorrectly. 
  • Fixed a bug where the breeding device would sync its animation when the felkin was mounted.
  • Fixed a bug in which the mounted Felkin would walk away while being mounted. 
  • Fixed a bug which allowed the player to break the Character prefab when A,S,D was pressed while mounting.
  • Fixed a bug in which the single inviting Felkin was not mountable. 
  • Fixed a bug in which the breeding device was not mountable. 
  • Fixed a bug in which the breeding device was out of synch.

Features:
- You can now rub the dewclaws of the Felkin front paws in the gallery. 
- Added smarter guided toys. They now align to different orifices of the female Felkin based on the distance.


Changes:
- In normal mode the toys now react again to drag, hand and mouse movement. This was removed in earlier versions, because of some physical glitches that are solved now. 
- Turntable axis rotation in normal mode has now the same speed as in VR-mode. 
- You can no longer place toys when you are in hip-snap mode.

Bugfixes:
- Fixed a bug in which petting a Felkin would not excite the creature. 
- Fixed a bug in which the left thigh of the male Felkin would not respond to rubbing. 
- Fixed a bug in which the feathery textures of the raptor model was missing in the gallery. 
- Fixed a couple of position and clipping plane issues with PoV mode. 
- Fixed a bug in which a loading screen was not visible in normal mode. 
- Fixed a bug with imported mesh settings.
