Progress Update:

Thought it was past time I sent out another progress report. So here I am!

Inheritance:
* We're doing a lot of mechanical work in the background of the game. Some of it's going the way we want. Some of it, . . . not so much.
* Content is coming along for the next build of the game. There's about 10k words of content already in the game for the next build. 12 new images. And a lot of small fixes and improvements.
* I've got a small number of little scenes written that still need to go into the game. Also got a fairly large submission for Rey that came in this morning. Not counting the scene I'm working on right now, we've got about 4k words of content ready to go into the game that just needs to be coded into it.
*The dialogue box code is all in the game now, weather code is in place, and we're adding a bunch of new NPC templates in the background as we prepare to start expanding into some of the elements of the game we've wanted to add from the start. A lot of the changes planned for the near future will stem from this content. (Example: All of the weather related content will be keyed to those weather systems in the game. By extension, instead of +/- 15 weather related scenes in a location, only 2-5 of those will be available at any given time (Rain on rainy days, snow on winter days, sunny, etc). Which in turn will leave affected locations with less scenes in it's scene pool at any given time, meaning you're going to be more likely to see interactive content with the characters in the game.)
*At a guess, we're going to be looking at +/- 20k words in the next build. That's not as big as some of our builds, but it's still pretty respectable, especially considering all the back in work going on and the fact that the holidays derailed our momentum for a couple weeks.
*Next build of Inheritance should be out on the 24th lacking any unexpected developments.

Last Stand of Ra:
*Got to be honest. We're at the tail end of this game, and I'm struggling with it. I spent three days last week writing on the game and threw it all out because I simply wasn't happy with it. The end of a game needs to be special, and I have every intention of doing this right. As of right now the ending is maybe half done. This means it's going to take a little longer to finish up. I still hope to see the final build released this month. That said, I'm not going to say a specific date because I don't want to paint myself into a corner. I want to do the ending right, capture the overall feel I wanted to end the game on when I first planned it.

And there you have it! You know about as much as I do now. After a short slowdown over the holidays, we're picking up momentum again and it looks like we'll be hitting our stride again next week. Got a lot of great stuff planned, and we're hoping to have an even more amazing year than we did last year!
